I hardly ever get out to karaoke.. so I've no idea anymore what gets a  :drool:  reaction....

so please people.. enlighten this poor woman...  

so.. country or jazzy.. or pop.. or dance... anything to everything...

Some folks favor country, some top 20, some classic rock, some hip-hop. Within my small group of karaoke friends, we like the 80s (you'd fit right in). But as far as the bars, I'm still trying to figure out what works where.

I know what songs work for hubby to make him putty in my magical little hands, but the other guys, time will tell (you know I'm kidding, right??)

I'd say, honestly, without a doubt... sing your rendition of "These Boots Are Made For Walkin" that you subbed in the showcase.   Cause girl, that got ME going just listening through my headphones, and we're thousands of miles apart. LMAO  I'd imagine you singing it live would cause the boys to come undone.  :yes:  Your version of that was pretty dang hot.

Well, ummm... I dunno. I've never taken anyone home before. (except my hubby)

You could always try plying him with alcohol first. Hell, men have been using that tactic for years, we women may as well use it too.  :D

and uh Charmin.. well see.. last year.. one of the women that I lost to.. well.. she was gorgeous.. very blonde.. and well singing the right notes really didn't seem to matter in the end..  

so.. I'm trying to look at it from all angles..  arghhhh... think Jenni Craig works in 7 days?? lol

I enter this contest because I like to sing.. (but it'd be nice to win for once lol) what a weirdo lol

That's the prob with karaoke contests.... they are usually about either who looks the hottest, or who knows the judges. From what I have heard and seen anyhow.

From my viewpoint, you're pretty dayum hot. So I'd vote for ya on both accounts... you're a looker AND you sing awesomely.

If you're seriously worried about it, just get up there and sing your lil' heart out on a song you feel passionately about.... if there's an honest judge in the crowd, maybe you'll get an honest rating.

Charmin is a big fat chicken about contests anyhow. Honestly, I'd feel more secure about my ability to try and "look hot" than my ability to win to get up there and "sing my best" and stand a chance.  LMAO

(now that sounded bad... I wasn't saying I'm hot, just pointing out my fear of singing in contests...)

Finals are THIS Friday night.. and they are doing it as the Colgate Country Showdown..  so guess it's gonna have to be country..

I have learned.. doing two man bashing songs isn't a great idea  :shock:  LOL
