Just changed the fader in my Dfx12 and took some photos which didnt turn out very good because my digital camera dont do macros. I was going to to post a short tutorial on "shopping out a mixer) which I might do yet even with the bad pics, I have pics of a total disassembled mackie mixer.
But since I had it apart again I decided to make a few mods again.
Notice how bright and shiny it is With everybody gone I did a Pledge clean & dust number on it.. I even soaked the knobs in a cup of water with dish detregent and cleaned them with a tooth brush...
Heres one for Kappy I had the schematics but lost them So I was on the phone for Mackie Tech support Loud Tecnologies have bought Mackie and a few others It was a long hold and all of a sudden the recording was promoting a Crate or ampeg guitar amp It had 12ax7,s 6v6's and 5ar4's for rectifiers When the tech answered I forgot what what I was calling for. How come they didnt put solid state diode rectifiers in that ampeg24m instead of 5ar4's? That dont do nothing for the sound!!! HUH? Wat u talkin about? We both lost it!!!
