Ok, how many of you broke down and got this? I waited as much as I can and picked it up today. So far, I love it. It works great and seems to pick up signal better than my old Treo 680. I already had a plan with AT&T so it was not a big deal switching over. This phone just too great! |

I kinda want one... But I kinda want a lot of stuff... And I'm trying to control my spending binges. I'm bad about getting an idear in my head that I want (or desperately need) something and pouting until I allow myself to go buy it. Then I realize I really didn't want/need it after all. I'm saving my mullah now for a condenser mic. I'm gonna allow myself to splurge on that one, cause I want a nice one. (cause I do desperately need one of those) ![]() I always pack around a cheap cellphone. If it can take pics, text msg, and withstand being thrown at the hubby once a month or so- then it's good enough for me. I have never needed a high tech cell phone. But they are certainly tempting little things, aren't they? I betcha Gilly got one:) |

Yeah, it's great so far. I took it to an outdoor concert and played the ipod while waiting for the group to start the music. Then I took some pictures with the phone, uploaded to my .mac account and sent the link to my friend who is in the band. The total time to get it up to the net, about 5 minutes. It's so easy to use. My justification was that my 4GB iPod nano was full and couldn't add more music. My choice was to pay $250 and upgrade to the 8GB nano. With this phone, I have the 8GB nano so that off set some of the cost. So, it's essentially I got the phone for about $350, which is still a bit high but definitely worth it. |

Actually, I was talking about it with Justin.... we are usually up on a the new MAC stuff... (he wants the apple tv thingy)... but honestly, we have NEVER owned a cell phone. Ever. I am completely anti-cellphone. Justin used to have a cell and pager for work, and it drove me NUTS! (the thing always went off when we were.. er... "busy".) Mind ya, now that I see the iphone, I have been rethinking my anti-cell phone complaints;) |

Mind ya, now that I see the iphone, I have been rethinking my anti-cell phone complaints;) Hey ya Gilly. It's been a while. I see iPhone as a more than a phone. I see it as more of iPod with an Internet access. I use it to listen to music and check things on the Internet as much as I use it as a phone. I think you will like it. The web browser is a Safari so no learning curve. Rest of the application is so intuitive, a friend who never used a Mac was using it without a manual. |
