It's called "Vanish" and is at a park in Yokohama Kanagawa Japan...Why?

Come on Lonnie I thought we were going for a ride 
You wouldnt get me near tat thing. Altough I did do the in southerns cal that goes out over the ocean and does a sharp turn..

I live close to an old wooden rollercoaster (Lake Compounce, Bristol CT.). Since you are into rollercoasters, and you like the wooden rollercoasters you'd likely know whether it's "supposed" reputation of oldest wooden rollercoaster in the US still in operation is valid. Personally I don't know. Compounce has been around since the 1800's. I envy those of you who have the guts to go on these things. This is Kingda Ka in NJ. "Six Flags". I can't imagine ever having the guts to even look up at this thing

Here's a pretty good one for you Lonman, in nearby San Antonio's Six Flags Fiesta Texas - the Rattler:

I've ridden this one numerous times and it is a blast. One time my ride started just as a thunderstorm let go dropping copious rain. This was all slamming into my face at high speed and felt like little tiny rocks hitting me. I was getting drenched but I was screaming I was laughing so hard I thought my face would split. It's been good since but never as good as during a thunderstorm. LMAO
Edit: Whoa just saw Stevens post above about acceleration 0-128mph in 3.5 secs! Not sure of the speeds of the Rattler.

Rattler sucks dude. I had marks across my pelvis/hip from the chains they put across you to keep you in. It rubbed so hard against my bone that I had a hge bruise that showed up almost three days later. That hurt and made me never want to go on it again. Plus, everyone was shifting into me through the turns, forcing more weight into my hip. That really did stink, Billy ol' bean! :(

I'm enjoying learning about this, because I really know nothing about it. I found this interesting in a Rollercoaster site.. I was wondering about maximum allowable G-force after reading about a few of these double-helix hypercoasters..

People often question how much a body can handle, so I'll answer it before someone inevitably asks it on here.

Coaster designers could design a ride to be as powerful as the heart desires, but physical limitations and insurance ultimately limit G-force.

Yeah it is a bit jerky and crazy, but I thought all wooden coasters were like that. Sounds like you weren't strapped in right, as that's never happened to me. Well, not totally true I got sore one time I believe at the end. It is going fast, and at the very end they slam on the brakes. You can kind of hurt yourself there if not aware of it. It happened to me on first or second time, but after that I learned to expect it and adjust for it. The other parts of the coaster you learn to roll with all the jerks and turns and not as bad. They have other good coasters down there too.
One of my favs was at Universal Studios in Orlando - I think it was called Space Mountain, and was indoors in mostly dark.

Steven, I have ridden Kingda Ka and it is a blast! What is a bit freaky is the little signs they have along the queue path that state there may be the possibilty that the train will not have the momentum to make it over the top and is designed to safely return backwards to a standstill! Guess I'd have to ride it a lot more to get the chance to do that and find out just how freaky it would be.
Kingda Ka was such a blast, but a very short ride (53 secs) and I just had to get on the thing straight away for a second ride. At Six Flags NJ, my favourite coaster is "Nitro". It is about 4 minute ride and the best way to do it is with hands and feet held as high as you can for the whole ride.... only a lap restraint (no shoulder restraints) on Nitro, which makes it so good!
There is another ride at SFNJ which is just a vertical drop.... that one is cool to ride with a penny placed on your knee... when you drop, the penny hovers an inch or so above your knee all the way down until the run-off at the end where it disappears over your head..really cool!
