This thread at least bring some people from SS who seldom post in the forum. I hope more will post, not just in this thread but starting their own thread in the forum.[/quote]

Me too, Jian

Do you realized that you are one of the very few people who are active in both side of the Board? just an observation.

I've been to the Singers Forum :worship: so i can't blame you there...

I know just enough to appreciate a dialoge between Singer's who are discussing their artform at the very highest level -- I've actually thought about trying to post a thred titled "vibratto" to open up a lighter discussion of what's going on in there because it is truly incredible.

I thank Jian for the encouragement to do so  :worship: but this mouse is just alittle bit too much of a newbie-chicken-wuss to do it yet.

If you think it's appropriate to discuss your work in a lighter way, Michael, would you consider opening such a thread?

Awakens2 :)

Actually awakens, there was a bunch of discussions about the "mystery" of vibrato in that thread, but feel free to open a new topic on it.  I notice in SS there are many people with great voices who  apparently do not have one (or opt not to use it).  It is handy to have and I use it a lot in my doo woop things.

I use mine differently for different styles of music.

Now I think I know why I don't go to the general forum a whole heck of a lot.  Sometimes the topic is completely bewildering. I'm still figuring out what an "owee" is.......I'd prefer to do it on my own without looking in the messages...more fun that way.

Rita, I'm sorry to hear this is why you've been MIA lately.  I was wondering if you were just really busy at work.

I've been here 2 years now and I've seen a lot of turmoil, some involving me, others involving friends.....and yeah it hasn't always been pretty.  As long as there are humans in existence, there will be conflict.  No one gets along 100% of the time...geez you even have spats with your spouse and family and you're supposed to love them more than anything! All I can say is that from what I know, there are two people involved in a debacle right now.  They are both my friends and this is THEIR dispute.  THEY should be hashing it out.  I have publicly offered my support to one of them because he continues to sub with comments allowed.  The other has listens only and has not commented lately on my subs and God knows why.  Maybe he interprets my supportive words to the other person as a brush-off to him.  Or...maybe he just ran outta time before he got to my subs.  You can't jump to conclusions cuz you never know the reasons with any certainty about why things happen here.  I probably should have just kept my comments restricted to the song, but then your personal thoughts about certain issues seem to find their way into print.  I am all for peace and I truly hope things can be hashed out.  I feel that they are two very good performers and yeah, this site really is big enough for both of them.

I have been tempted to leave once or twice before.  But if I did that, who would listen to my singing???  LOL After I spent all this money on recording equipment, I'm not gonna let it gather dust! Even with the occasional spats, I do like it here.  I have tried to ignore as much as I can when I've gotten nasty comments (luckily they've been few and far in between) and tried to be as diplomatic as I could be.  It IS hard to ignore when you feel a friend is being lambasted....but isn't it really up to that person(s) to handle it directly?  The more people get involved, the harder it is to maintain serenity.

Peace out.  :handshake:

This is true and we are happy about that with the utmost certitude Miss Luly! How's the throat doing?  I'm working from home today--not that I'm getting much done...about throwing something into your music about the current situation, I got mine out my system with "Shaving Cream" the other night--don't think many people caught my special lyric, or if they did they didn't comment on it.  That's how irate I am about this nonsense going on. There's so many nuts out there it's amazing we only get an occasional flibbertigibbet invading our peaceful little website.  I say we call "Homeland Security" and get this "fiddler player" (sounded like a banjo to me) taken in for questioning in "The Interrogation Room"......

Hi Elisha!!!

Haha, it's NOT what you think!! Michael jokingly wanted me to put one of those dentist thingamiggs with the mirror on it down my throat to check my Adam's apple or something...it was all related to vibrato, I swear!!!! Funny thing is, the next day I woke up with a huge sore throat!!!  :O

Hey girl! *hug* Not much new here really.  Just moved to a new apartment and am trying to get jobs teaching voice and instrumental lessons while I look for gigs.  I've just been away from the SS for a little while as I guess we all tend to take some breaks from time to time.  How've you been?  How's your precious little Skylah? and..

Luly started it!  I just took it the wrong way :P lol...
