Thanks for the link.
That's cool. So many songs there.
Now the big question.
How do I make a MP3 of my singing?

Hook up your puter to your karaoke machine and then record it to your computer using a program like AUDACITY. then save (EXPORT) the song file into mp3 format and tahts it! it mus be less than 3meg size to be accepted onto singers showcase

Well I FINALLY got my CAJUN/ ZYDECO Karaoke disc I ordered! So now Im quite certain theres at least ONE song THAT NOBODY ELSE ANYWHERE sings---
"We Came Here to Party"-by Sean Audoin
Zydeco/Cajun dance song complete with electric accordian lead solo!---in keeping with my philosophy of finding songs that are SO OBSCURE that nobody even has heard of them, much less attempts to sing them!
Found a Really nice blues song by Little Walter that Im going to work on too!
And some Bobby Blue Bland stuff too.
As soon as I get some time Ill record them and get tehm up on Showcase.

G'night everybody...... oops, stayed online till midnight again, .
SwingCat........ I love Cajun/Zydeco style, I hope I'm around when you sub those, I'd really like to hear them. You should learn Jole Blon. (Doug Kershaw) I play it on the fiddle, but I'm not a guy- and don't know french, haha- so I would never sing it. It's a good tune though.

Well....after last night I can add to this one! It was a slow night, so we just started picking out crazy stuff to sing that we hadn't tried before. And since I've been singing at the same place for more than a year, I know I've never heard any of these before...but everyone will be hearing them again, because I think I did pretty good.... -"D**n, I Wish I Was Your Lover" by Sophie B Hawkins -"Why Can't I" by Liz Phair -"Strut" by Sheena Easton Nothing like a small, but appreciative crowd to make you want to try something new. Even Randy the KJ noted that I was singing a lot of stuff he had never heard me do before.

I've sung Forgive and Phones Are Ringing All Over Town, but it's been quite a while since I've done either of them.
These ones aren't obscure songs, but I do them all the time and I've never heard anyone else do any of these...
Breathe No More - Evanescence
Field of Innocence - Evanescence
Anywhere - Evanescence
I Must Be Dreaming - Evanescence
How Come You Don't Call Me - Alicia Keys
Turn Me On - Norah Jones
Right to Be Wrong - Joss Stone
Big Mistake - Natalie Imbruglia
I Want You to Need Me - Celine Dion
Seduces Me - Celine Dion
All I've Ever Wanted - Mariah Carey

Most KJs and others usually ask me to do these songs:
Get Low - Lil Jon and Eastside Boys/Yin Yang Twins (SC version)
Girlfriend - Matthew Sweet
Exes Live in Texas - George Strait
Living On Tulsa Time - Don Williams
Plowed - Sponge
Flake - Jack Johnson
Usually I don't want to be a same song singer, but I like those songs too so I usually do at least one.

Hmmm I try to sing songs that nobody else at my shows sings, but its getting harder and harder...Mainly my gigs are in pups where more obscure songs dont go down well...
But I like...
Smoke- Natalie Imbruglia
My favorite game - The cardigans
Crucify - Tori Amos
Creep - Radiohead
Donald wheres your troosers - Andy Cameron ( I think)
Frankie - Sister Sledge
Take that look off your face - Marti webb
I would love to do song to the siren...but havent found it karaoke yet!!! Great song!!
