:laughatthat: Thaz funny right there... I don't care who ya are.

I know what you mean about "drama". I detest drama, but somehow seem to always get squeezed in the middle of it. But actually, songs like that can help. I'm not the type to cry much, stuff like that makes me hate myself, so... I keep things inside alot when something bothers me and just try to put it in the back of my mind. And all it takes is the right song coming on radio and BOOM... the flood gates are open:) So, all those sad sack songs can be good for something, even if only to make you face things you didn't want to. And, other times, you listen to one and walk away from the song knowing your life in real is much better than the storyteller of the song must have been when they wrote it.... kinda like "I should be happy- my life COULD be THAT bad". So, see, use your logic to make those kinds of songs WORK for you;)

You want to hear a good example of my NOT being a drama person? LOL

I'm bored today. Boss is gone, all my work is done unless the phone rings or a customer walks in, and so I'm playing online a bit. I'm also playing with my new digital camera.

Well, (don't judge me here, I'm scared to DEATH of the dentist office) I let a lost filling go untended for about 3 weeks, cause I didn't want to go have my mouth numbed (I HATE that)... and now I have an abcess, my lower right jaw is slightly swollen.

So I'm taking pics in my spare, bored time today... and I'm looking at the different angles, trying to figure out (from left profile to right profile) wether or not I look better with a slightly more "squared" jawline. (from the abcess)  LMAO

Okay, so maybe that's not "drama", maybe that's me being vain. (or... getting close to mid life crisis... or maybe I'm just wierd)

.

It's because you've gotten used to it.  There's comfort in familiarity despite the fact that the accompanying emotions might be stress, depression, anger, etc..

You need to FORCE yourself to break away from it..  Nobody puts us in the middle of THEIR drama.  We allow ourselves to be there..  With kids, grandkids, family you'll have so much of your own drama now, and in time.. Why would you want others ?  I REALLY try to be happy.. It's the tougher emotion much of the time, but it's always a goal..

Post ALL and anything you want on the Music thread.  I wish more would participate in that thread.. It's for ALL stuff musical, and since most here love music, I'd hope it'd get more use !   Nothings restricted from there, even depressing stuff, If it's music or musical it belongs there...

Oh, no, nothing depressing at all. If I can find this video, and you haven't seen it yet.... You'll enjoy it, it's pretty cool:)

*now ssshhhh.... I'm in my "happy place"....*

J/K

Dang it, my password on my laptop (as most of my passwords usually are) is my current favorite song. Forgot which song it was tho- my "favorite songs" change so frequently-and after 4 attempts, I finally got it right.  LMAO

*did I just announce my password habits in a public forum?!?!*

Women in here don't either.  Their concept of vacuuming is how much change you can store between your buttocks while flipping a weiner.

tsk tsk kappy please dont mistake me for the ks woman's spokesperson...far beit from me to preach to anyone...all I know is it works for me   well cept for tonite when he wouldnt come have a drink with some folks while I was singing...so I went partying with them afterwards
This of course means that the vacuuming will be accompanied by whistling tomorrow...he always whistles when he is perturbed
this will be followed up by copious amounts of pot clanking whilst I try to record no doubt and some accidently on purpose extracting of things other than weed from the garden

*sigh*

And they say we women are catty?

My hubby would do the same if he were *perturbed* at me. Run around acting sullen and pouting rather than just getting to the point. Of course, that's only until his temper breaks and he reverts to running around yelling, and I can't get a word in edgewise.    Men!!

Sometimes I feel like saying "Stand up straight and look me in the eye when I'm talking to you boy"..... but.... since I don't know what his reaction would be to that, I refrain:)

pmsl Keith...why would anyone who earns their own money have to ask permission?
well actually I am expected to....brought home a new car the other day but I ended up taking it back...cos next years trip is more important to me...I want the money available to do what I want when I want to with no questions asked so the car will wait :)
perhaps its not marriage but who you are/were married to Keith...if two people who live together both earn approx the same amount, are mortgage free and have no dependants then hells teeth they shouldnt have to ask permission to spend money on themselves.
Hope you have better luck next time :)

Yeah Keith, For me "Happy place" means freedom from stress, or any sources of anxiety.  The worst stress I've ever experienced has been in a failing relationship. I learned to accept that for me, being alone (for now) isn't a bad thing, it's a type of freedom IMHO, while I sometimes feel that bringing somebody into my life will help certain things,  I don't believe anyone can help me find peace within myself, which is still my struggle.

OK,  now back to our regularly programmed Karaoke Scene comedy.. Here I go getting intense...  If I'm going to do that I might as well go to sunday local church and blow a loud fart in the middle of the service !  This is no place for Kappy's philosophy on stuff...

I personally have no broad spectrum opinion of marriage.  It's for some, and it might someday be for me..  But I damn well better KNOW this female is a friend, and not JUST a female who I partially depersonlize due to fantasy such as romance.. Reason being, that IMHO is dangerous !  and finite.  Currently, since I don't wish for children, I see no purpose (currently) to marry.. "Til death do you part" carries the sound of a "life" sentence... Why not allow the heart to determine how long folks stay together ?  Life changes, nobodies fault.  As long as there's maturity and a desire to work out what CAN be worked out, I don't believe marriage should be a business agreement.  Although I do believe certain benefits should exist for married couples... So dunno... whatever...

My fear is that I'll meet a women who I'm able to love,  which of course means she'll have low enough standards to reciprocate (to a point).  Like a few in the past she'll agree marriage is not for her, but change her mind and give me that ultimatim.. I few relationships have ended for that reason.  If I'm not ready for marriage, I can't compromise my own needs assuming the female wants to marry.  It's not fair to either one of us.. Some things I just won't bend on..  Marriage is for a LONG time IMHO... It's a dang important and major decision that should be made somewhat clear-headed... I fear the pain of failing relationships, NOT the commitment of marriage.

ADDED IN:

OK, Maybe I am afraid of marriage, HOW can anybody possibly make a commitment "Til death do you part" ?

Because all that are religious and have read the bible know this excerpt from
the new testament Meatloaf: 4

So now I'm praying for the end of time
to end my time with you
cuz if I have to spend another......

Sorry forgot the passage,  been a long time since I've read the holy book.

I'm going to break a Rule of mine and anwser Morgan, providing she remembers I have NO desire to continue/start a dialog with her.

"Better luck next time"?......Sorry but this is Life, not an audition....There is no NEXT TIME for me. ...But there is "Move along time"

Morgan, I've progressed way beyond the last time and into my tomorrow-not yesterday and another "next time".

If I gotta explain, you wouldn't understand.....But i'll try anyway

"Next time" is a circular path where you chase yer tail......But "tomorrow" is a straight path out of that endless orbit.

Someday when your man has had enuff of your chit and sez, "I'm outta here", don't sit around waiting for him to circle back for a next time.
