Not sure if this has been addressed, but I'd spoken to Michael about the previews. It would be a much more effective preview if we could skip through the entire song and listen to any portion of the song we wanted. Still keep the previews to whatever length they are now (30 seconds?) but allow us to click through any part of the song for up to 30 seconds. Want to listen to more? Just restart the preview.

Hey, YOU mentioned the name. I just used another company as a comparison.

Whatever, you and EVERYONE else here know exactly who you were talking about - so knock it off!

Hey, be polite!!

How about a suggest a song link - and another page to be able to vote on specific songs requested by others (kind of like Karaoke Version does).
This would be an interesting twist on a credits systems as well. If you vote on a song, make sure you REALLY want it because when it gets made, it will automatically take a credit from your pack and add the link to your purchase history with a notice that you have new downloads waiting when you login (the same would apply to everyone who voted on that track) - that would eliminate anyone just voting to kick the vote up higher but not actually purchase!!

OUCH. What happened to Poison - Something To Believe In?

Scorpions - Winds Of Change is shot, too. Like, you can hear the disc spinning.

Yeah I agree those 2 previews aren't very good. The Scorps one is just a wierd effect on the keyboard though, but not a very desireable effect.
{edit}Ah no wonder on the Poison track - it's Sweet Georgia Brown music! May have been done back when they didn't need to create their own tracks (or SGB took the music as their own - either way not a good track). It is a pretty old song. This one would be a prime candidate for a better sounding re-record.

I am thinking they are Pocket Songs versions.

Love the feedback...I didn't expect to have site tweaks being done on the fly but that is what happens when one of our geeks misses his flight to Singapore and wants atonement from the rest of us! Have passed track comments on to studio and will keep a tab on other comments as they come in. New tracks uploading.....

Best regards from KWC 2015 in Singapore

When I go to the site, regardless of whether I login or not, the first page I see is the New Songs listings (currently just 20 songs). I'm sure that list will expand as you add more new songs.

Questions:
1. Will the New Songs list consist of just any new song (not released or remastered before by Karaoke.Net), or will it also include older cataloged and/or remastered songs in that listing as well?
2. Will a new song get added immediately to that list, or will entries be made cumulatively once a week/once a month?
3. Will you show a date that a new song was added?
4. How long will a song remain on the New Songs list? 1 month, 2 months, etc...?

Suggestion:
On the New Songs listing, how about listing the songs in either:
1. Alphabetical order (by Song Titles)
2. Alphabetical order (by Artists)
or
3. Date released order (most recently released being at the top).

He gets a cut for every track you buy through iCroons links. If Karaoke.Net does an affiliate program, I am sure you will see their tracks on iCroons.

Hi! Couple answers below.

cueball wrote:

This is realtime list of songs added to the database.

Quote:
2. Will a new song get added immediately to that list, or will entries be made cumulatively once a week/once a month?

List is populated in real time.

Quote:
3. Will you show a date that a new song was added?

I see no reason not to show that, but I'm not the one to make that decision.

Quote:
3. How long will a song remain on the New Songs list? 1 month, 2 months, etc...?

Song remains on the list as long as there's room for it. New releases will push the existing ones out of the list.

Quote:
1. Alphabetical order (by Song Titles)
2. Alphabetical order (by Artists)

This would mean to give up with the real time list and choose static time period from where to show the tracks.

Quote:
3. Date released order (most recently released being at the top).

This is how it is now :)

What site are you guys on? I signed up for the preview site long ago, and when I visit the page for karaoke.net, I am not seeing any content at all.

There is a little "welcome" banner on the top right corner of the page. Click it, and it will take you to the store.

I signed up as well. I click the Welcome and it stays on the same page. I tried with Chrome and IE.

same here, not seeing anything but the email signup. what is the Direct link to the store?

Register to receive notices and you should get a welcome email with the link. Karaoke.net wishes to not have the link advertised at this time.

Would be the best money they every spent, certainly as a startup (it's where I send all my singers)

Not sure what's going on, but I registered twice and still no email.

The newsletter is not automated during the singup process. We send them out periodically. You can expect to receive the e-mail within next couple days.

I 2nd adding the date the track was added to the new database - especially if you just leave them up until the page is full.
