I used to play basketball on the river at SWTSU where all the girls would lay out and tan. I bought several pairs of shorts that were in style that were the Nike superlightweight nylon and I would just wear those to show off my tan and all the rest.  One particular day someone threw a pass that went toward the water and since the river is fed by an underground spring it moves really fast and where the ball was headed there was no swimmers. It would have moved downstream quick into more weed congested areas where no one swims. I ran for the ball and did a scooping dip grab, shuffling the ball back to the other guys who had also ran after the ball. I realized I could not stop and so I tried to make a nice dive into the 58 degree water. When I came up, everyone was saying, nice grab, etc. and they gave a hand in pulling me up. However, when I came up I did the standard guy swimsuit pull to make things less obvious and realized I wasn't wearing a swimsuit. I was wearing a basic piece of nylon which was now soaking wet and clinging to what was downstairs. It was like truly wearing nothing and EVERYONE was looking. I almost jumped back in the damn water. Trying to be cool, they asked me if I was going to continue to play since my shoes were also completely soaked and I was trailing water all over the court.  I said "sure".  In reality I felt like crawling into a hole. Even 30 minutes later my shorts were clinging and people were still looking. It was a distraction to everyone that played the game, I'm sure. Oh well. heh heh  I should have left immediately or swam upstream and said "I'm out".  I wish I would not have had to be such a "guy" about it, because it was seriously embarrassing. I didn't play for almost a week and I always let the basketballs hit the water (rather than my own balls) after that day.

Wow. I sing Lightning Crashes. Great song. Maybe I'll check for any songs you've posted here in a second and give a listen.  I'm learning about this site. It's fairly cool...and since I love karaoke, it's even....cooler?

I listened to your Ordinary World (which is great), Crossfire (I saw Stevie Ray at a 7-11 in Austin one night (um, when he was alive), and your REM. I liked them all. Now I need to figure out how I am going to submit some of my own.  I want to submit Big Bang Baby (baby!). It's totally tubular (I crack myself up).  -But I'm not actually ON crack.

About 20 years ago I once passed out at a stop light....I woke up when the sun started coming up and thought, what in the world am I still doing here?  I still can't believe a cop didn't come by and take my sorry butt to jail....I guess I was just lucky....
