OK,  Speaking of Guy/Super model friendships,  Where are these girls when I can  use them... There's about two feet of newly fallen snow piled on my car....and I need someone to clean that off, and do some shoveling...I'd do it myself, but that would entail getting out've bed, and possibly breaking a nail

Answer one question:

Would you have sex with this "friend" if you knew for certain that your wife
would never ever find out???? :thinkin:  :thinkin:  :thinkin:  :thinkin:  :thinkin:  :thinkin:  :thinkin:  :thinkin:

If you answered YES then you are going down a path of no return and you need some couple consuling or a divorce lawyer  :D

If you answered NO .... Then you must be gay ( NOT THAT THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT ) .....

Bottome line -- YOU CAN'T WIN BEING EMTIONAL TIED TO THE OPPOSITE SEX IN A PLUTONIC RELATIONSHIP ...I DON'T THINK ITS POSSIBLE

J/K   all in fun GOOD LUCK !!!!

disagree wholeheartedly with you here, Jam.
i would NEVER acutally have sex with someone else while married.  think about it, sure, fantasize about it even, but actual sex is out of the question.  and i can verify that i am far from gay....not that there's anything wrong with that.

last time i had a PLUTONIC relationship it was out of this world.  i mean most PLUTONIC relationships are really spacy.  PLUTONIC realtionships usually end up with a big bang.  sorry, just thought i'd try my hand at making puns about the typo.  hope you can take a joke!

No,  but not because I'm gay..  Because of how the mind works, projects, and because guilt is a very painful emotion to have to carry around. It would always create a distance between myself and the spouse..Even assuming she never found out, there would come a time that I didn't feel deserving of HER honesty, love...assuming having cheated on her, I actually believed she was trustworthy,  people that can't be trusted, seldom trust... So I turn this around

Assuming I still might desire having sex with other females before I die.. WHY the heck marry in the first place ?  If a person isn't ready to commit for life, why the heck impose a prison sentence on themselves ?  Some people shouldn't marry.

Sure you can, John Stuart Mill in his essays on "Utilitarianism"  believed that quantitatively measured profound pleasures must be intellectual.

OK, when I start getting like this it's time to take a nap...

I can commiserate !   Just this morning, I was reading some posts from last night, and I stumbled upon that stuff.... Well to make a long story short.... I started laughing so hard, I urinated all over the underside of my computer desk...
and passed my breakfast thru my nose....Good thing it was only around 30 more seconds until I started remembering "Whoa,  that was me who typed all that stuff", cause to be honest,  I was starting to fall in love !!  Whenever I come up with precious material like that, I print it out, and put it in my "Famous moments to share with the grandchildren folder"...  I'd mention a few of the other things I have in that folder, but people might  start to think I'm self absorbed

Honestly, I couldn't disagree with you more.  Developing an emotional connection with someone of the opposite sex in a platonic situation is not only possible, it's a lot of fun!

Sure, I've imagined what most--if not all--of my female friends would look like wearing a lot less...and I would dare say that they've reciprocated (they may not have liked the image, but, hey...)  It's in our nature as humans, as animals, to assess "mating prospects", even if we have no intention of trying to have sex with the person.

Whether there's an underlying sexual attraction or not is irrelevant to me, though, as to whether or not I LIKE the person, and would consider her a friend.

I believe it was Robin Williams, a few years ago, who said something like this:

"We have to propagate the species, but we must have conversation afterwards...that's why I'm looking for a woman who gives mind, if you catch my drift!"   LMAO

One of my best friends is Squid...He and my husband enjoy hanging out together too..We all have a blast...We don't think there is anything weird or not right about our friendship...We all respect and trust each other....I trust my hubby with Squid whenever I am not around...Oh...wait that is not what this is about...My hubby trust me with Squid whenever he is not around...Squid has gotten me out of several uncomfortable jamms lately and I have done the same for him...We all go out in various pairings:  all of us, me and Squid, Rich and Squid, and even me and rich.... sometimes....

In fact I had to break my standing trivia and singing Thursday this week to go out with Rich...But that's the way it is sometimes friends have to understand and step aside for the married folks to do their thing...

All I am saying is we have a lot of fun and it works for us.....And when Squid eventually gets a girlfriend I am sure that I will be friends with her too and we'll ditch the guys and go for a girls night out....LOL

Not so sure why you are so suprized...You know you were right in the middle of them when I walked in the other night.....

OOps...did I say that out loud, I know I said I wouldn't let this cat out of the bag but someone had to do it....And I'm still keeping my word about not telling anyone about that weird thing growin on your left flank region...yuck that was weird....ROFL

<edit>  And on topic, I think people should do what works for them. Where some people have a high tlolerance others may not, you just have to figure out what works best for your relationship...

OK, that wasn't a dream,  I thought I felt skin pulling under the "My Car Climbed MT. Washington" bumper sticker I have covering that.  What was it that brought your suspicion to that part of my body anyway ?

It was sticking out from under the bumper sticker.....You should really limit your bumper sticker usage to your vehicles..It's not real attractive...Maybe you should just get a nice tatoo to cover it up.....

I would avoid the romance at work thing.....But that's just me....I would hate to have to go to work everyday and sit 2 feet from my ex boyfriend....and watch him carry on with his next girlfriend who was perhaps my coworker and friend too.

Sounds like perhaps you need to first go thru the whole ordeal and break up fully with this other guy before you start another relationship....That is, unless you like a lot of confusing drama and a very complicated life.

I don't see how anyone can make good choices when they are confused....I tried it a few times, but it looks ok for guys to act confused and go from one gal to another, to another, and so on....Us guys are dogs.....But you gals need to be careful....Be real careful right now or you might fall prey to one of us dogs out there....We sense weakness.

Hang around and one of the savy ladies here will talk some sense to you. I listen to them myself sometimes. :)
