Yeah Keith,  I think the animals physiology changes as the hours of daylight become more sparse.  Coat starts growing as early as the summer too as I recall

Yep, it's a light cycle thang....We can discourage winter coat growth by providing longer "days"....We do that by installing lights in their stalls and keeping their day longer than it actually is by timing the lights on-off cycle.

This is done with show horses to keep them all slick and pretty with their short hair summer coat all thru the year.

If folks decide to do that, then I hope they provide a good winter blanket for them.

Me, I ain't got no lights in the barn nor do I keep my horses stabled...They can ease in and out of the barn as they wish and come and go as they wish...I notice that they like their stable at night and will drift in there when they want to snooze.

Yeah, they get a little fluffy in the winter, but it comes in handy when I want to warm my hands....I just dig my fingers deep in their neck coat and let them thaw.

Some mares up to 24 hrs before their milk veins swell up.. all start to drip milk or white powdery substance from their teets... Usually it  is within 12 hours.

I never knew either of you two had this strong a romantic side.  All this sensuality is going to strain my mouse.

Mine doesn't always funtion. I play around with it. but nothing happens. I can push it, pull it, but nothing moves... as if the ball hasn't even descended. Perhaps taking it out've the encasement and scrubbing it would help. Not sure. That's one thing about Laptops. With the nice touchpad you don't have to concern yourself with mouse balls.

I wouldn't put anything past myself.  I've been known to plug my hardware into wrong sockets. I've gotta hand it to my sorry butt, if some mistake can be made, I'll pull it off.

Every once and awhile a new pad can do wonders, as those things age they dry out and just don't work the same. Don't know if a battery would help, Do you think my mouse could be rejeunenated by active electronics ?

Well, I did know that    Anyway I'm too old to be spewing such content, culminating in pulled threads. I need to cool it.   I'm going to look into different mouse pads. My mouse just doesn't do well with this same old dang rubber.
