tigger wrote: Oh Chickie you're fortunate to be in the Southeast....we want to be there if we could afford to move. Housing is impossible to afford here.
Tell me about it. My family has a 4-bedroom, 2-story house (there's also a huge attic but it needs work), probably close to 2000sq ft, very large storage building, on almost an acre lot. They're BUYING and the house payment is around $500/month.
Now granted, that's affordable even around here, but you can rent a big house for $500-$600/month (with some land) easy. It's true that I desperately miss having a FRYS within driving distance... but cost-wise, that just doesn't compensate.
Come out Tigger!!! We'll leave the light on for ya!

Well, in spite of my cold... I took a mentho-halls & did a 'for fun' sub anyway. =D I wouldn't be brave enough to try something serious right now, so I did one for this week's theme. ol
All the kids have gone somewhere, so the house is nice, peaceful & quiet for the first time in a week. YAY!! You folks enjoy your evenings... wherever you happen to be.

!!! Aww.. well, we have lots of 'grown-kids' here too (most of us really do act like 'big kids'), but true 'yow-ins' get to be a liiiittle much sometimes. :p But hey Steven, you're welcome to come over & play any time you want. BRING YER GUITARS!! (well ok, just a couple of 'em) heheh

For those of you interested....
For allergies find a local honey producer. Preferably the closer to where you live the better. Make sure it's not single blossom honey (like clover honey, etc).
Eat a Tablespoon or 2 of honey a day every day. Keep in mind that you can add it to hot mint tea (pretty much ALL mint is good for the resperatory system) or to food, over pancakes/english muffin, whatever.
Ok, I'm sure you're asking why. The bees get pollen on them when they draw the nectar out of flowers. This pollen gets into the honey. When you ingest it your body will build a tolerance for the pollen preventing allergies from that pollen.
Keep in mind this applies only to outdoor plant based allergies. See an allergist or a medical doctor for identificaiton and treatment of any medical condition. Do NOT ingest honey if your diabetic without discussing it with your doctor first and NEVER give honey to an infant unless ordered to by a doctor.
BTW, this worked for me and most of my allergies both in the Southeast US (Alabama, Florida) and here in Alaska (yes, we have bees in Alaska!).

I DO have an allergy of some sort though, it hits in the fall but I have no idea what it is (other than the fact that I've been told it's probably a 'tree pollen' of some sort).
