That is a bit much. Bar owners don't want to advertise. They don't even care about karaoke.

My Thursday night bar advertises every Thursday in the local paper.

The newspaper? Guess they aren't going for the under 40 crowd. Nobody reads the physical newspaper anymore except me and some other old people...

I haven't had a newspaper subscription for about 10 years now. The entire paper is available on their website.

I have NEVER had a newspaper subscription. I was always able to find one laying around if I wanted one. I used to read the paper daily when I worked graveyard (1983-1994). By 1997, my primary news source was online news sites and it remains that way to this day.

The only time I read a newspaper these days is when I travel.

I hear what you are all saying. I have to disagree with the statements that "this is too much" (I know...why did I ask then?)
Too much for who? Maybe for this guy, yes (obviously).
But when I ran nightclubs I would have loved to have somebody come in and offer me a deal like that.

I like the idea of rolling it all into a "package deal" and selling that.

Everything I said he should do IS a solid plan for building a night, I know because I have done all of that.
Just because he won't do it does not mean somebody won't.
Just have to keep banging on doors...
