No, I'm saying that psychologically people will cut someone by a half star before they drop them a full point - even if the overall scales are the same. People are quick to give out 10's (but this one goes to 11!) but may be less apt to give 5 stars (flashbacks to Star Search). I'm sorry your experience at 'another site' was unpleasant. There will be almost always be small groups of people who ruin the experience for the rest of us. I feel that everyone I've talked with or commented on appreciates constructive critisism. They don't want to hear the same thing over and over again - especially if it's something they can't change readily (Your singing is too nasaly on every sub for example!). We try to temper the feedback with a little tact and common sense. Consider yourself quoted.
We can all agree to disaggree if we need to. There is no 'perfect' scoring system - even in areas where there are very clear creteria regarding the performance they still have problems - hint: Olympics.... I was just thinking that pointing out common recording mistakes and how to fix them will help to both imiproce the ratings (making them more accurate) and improve the quality of the submissions.

karaokemeister - thanks ya beat me to that answer... You must know a little somethin' 'bout web design or at least web graphics.
KJDennDogg - You are awesome. Those look great.
You can attach them in an email to me that would be wonderful.
email: webguru @ karaokescene .com
hey ya interested in doing some banners?
I can handle most web design items like scripting & coding - But I am just okay with graphic design - I usually outsource that to people who can do it better & faster than I.
Thanx again,
Phill

Yep. I've buit a number of production web servers, firewalls, file and print servers, among other things. I do network administration and systems administration and have done plenty of comptuer security work in the past. Had to know enough about web design and graphics to know when the webmasters were snowing me and to fix minor issues.
BTW KJD the graphics do look pretty nice.

OK, I think I got it.... create your pic, select the background with your magic wand tool, then invert the selection so the graphic ONLY is selected, Then go File>Export>GIF Optimiser... theres a transparency option in there....
It works! (see below)

KJ Denndogg - As I stated in the email. I appreciate your efforts. Just attempting to assist was a great thing.
Oh well, I will see what I can come up with.
BTW - anyone else wish to try?
Thanks
