Hiya Ron. You mean your parents didn't really name you Boatman? 
Mine didn't name me Mandilynn either... it's Charmin (Lynn).... and I play the mandolin, so hence the silly screen name. It's a new one, my old one confused people:)
I'll go check your profile. My little faded pic is there in mine... not much to look at, but it's a pic. Everyone here knows my face anyhow, I've had lots of them posted. The little cartoon is just cuter.
One way to make sure you get more anonymous profile views? Start a thread complaining about them.

I have several family members into bluegrass big time,but with our appalacia background thats fitting I suppose.It might also help explain me being digitally challenged.
So I checked to see my count just now and I only had 2 until today,but so far today I had 5 already.Should'nt have mentioned that baldspot thing I guess.Oh, but thats not counting the the 13 times that a certain MgnLfy person checked me out!

Ah, yes, if you're from the Appalachian Mt area, I'm sure you've had lifelong exposure to bluegrass. (the GOOD kind) I envy you, I've always wanted to go visit there- just strap my mandolin on my back (and err, my fiddle and guitar too.... guess I'd need a strong back ), and traipse through those mountains for about 6 months meeting people and playing tunes;) I've seriously read many books about the Appalachian Mountains. Maybe, someday, perhaps, when I'm older and can afford to spend time wandering mountain ranges... ... I'll go there.
I'm curious to know if you play/sing bluegrass yourself?

Haha, I forgot about your "digitally challenged" comment. Yes, me too. Prior to coming here, I had never recorded myself, other than on one of those little square tape recorder thingees... and I'm still no good at all with EQ and all that jazz. Growing up, to handle EQ, it was more like "get your bass towards the back of the room a little bit, you're overpowering the fiddle"

Ah, my legs are in fine shape. They'll tide me over until I'm 90 or so;)

lets plan to do some of those somedays together when we meet charmin. and talking of putting things off...if I dont get my butt out the door to walk (shuffle) the dog the weather will have changed...we are expecting a storm later in the day

Yeah, for sure. I'm still waiting on my chance to spend a wild week with Tammy too..... I have a feeling she'll be tons of fun;)
Don't even talk about stormy weather, I'm so pizzed off at this freakin' state right now. I have SO much to do outside, mowing and redoing some flower beds, and I wanted to start my garden this weekend. But do I have sunshine? Hell no, I have rain.
(i say we all meet in the nice, sunny south when we meet up, to hell with meeting here... and Tammy's in Ohio, we'd literally freeze... we should shoot for southern Cal or Arizona)
Or heck, Texas, I could do with seeing some swaggering males in tight jeans and cowboy hats, how 'bout you?

Hi Mandi,
No I don't play or sing bluegrass myself, but there are several in my family that do.My brother and cousin are bluegrass freaks ,but my cousin sings and plays guitar.I think I will get him to join this KS ,and then I can introduce you to him.He loves talking about appalacia history ,and he is also into genelogy from that area.Maybe I could get him to post a song in SS.
As far as the "digitally challenged " thing goes, it sounds like a good enough excuse to me ,and I am sticking with it.
One more thing Mandi ,don't wait forever to do all these you want to do.Learn from my mistakes, make a plan and do it.After all we never know what tomorrow holds.
