I should mention that I am beginning to get a fair amount of salt in my pepper. I can't wait for it to turn completely. The people in my family have the coolest color of grey. I'm just not liking what's going on with the texture.

The grey doesn't seem to show at all in my pics so I wanted to mention it because I think it looks cool.

Don't say that TOO loud, Chuck...or Sharon will plop you down in her dye-job chair too!!  

I love my greys.

In my defense I would like to point out that I didn't have grey hair until after I had children.  I can't prove that there is a link there.  But doesn't it seem like more than a coincidence?  LOL

Why is it when a man has grey hair it is considered distinguished
and when a woman has grey hair they are considered old and unattractive?

There is such a double standard when it comes to men and woman.

When a guy puts on a few pounds it is no big deal, but when a woman does she's letting herself go.

I can't tell you how many times I've been out with my male friends and they make some derogatory statement about a girl because she's heavy. Not one of them are thin.

I would venture to say that's changing Babs...what, with the whole "metrosexual"  dynamic going on...I know more and more guys who dye their hair...including me!  LMAO

Have you ever seen Emmy Lou Harris' hair.  Hair doesn't come much greyer than that and I still think she is one of the most gorgeous ladies around.

Okay, Emmy Lou is an exception.  I know what you mean though.  Speaking only for myself, I don't think hair color is a barrier to being attractive.  And as far as a few pounds are concerned, I would much rather be with someone who looks like a woman, not a little girl.  A woman should have curves and there ought to be some softness.  I've never liked the bolemic look and I can't imagine why any guy would.

Oh, by the way, a wrinkle or two adds character and makes a face interesting not merely pretty.

That's funny you mention her... my hubby thinks she has the coolest hair. He loves that look.

But- if/WHEN I do start going there.... I'm grabbing a bottle of color as quick as I can drive to the store and get it. I do NOT like the thought of ME going gray. Though, I don't think guys look bad with it. They do look kinda distinguished. Well, my husband has been kinda salt & pepper for years now... kinda "redneck distinguished" I guess.... if there is such a thing.  :roll: He doens't like it on himself, but he'd wear pink just as easily as he'd die his hair. (trust me, I've tried, he wont let me... "too girly" he thinks)

I figure God put hair color on this earth for a good reason.  If I can't live my life as a blond (because I've heard they have more fun) I at least wish I could get my old hair color back!  LOL

OK, you can do my coloring for me.  I'm tired of all the kids at Denny's saying "tell me about the good old days grandpa".

Yeah, I couldn't make my fingers work on the guitar this morning either, they fumbled too much... ... though I am listening to that song in the headphones AS I type.
