Oh no you don't. This thread isn't going down the list - hehe. I was out today. Played 36 holes of disc golf - whew (Jeff we should have entered the Round Rock tournament). So, because of this I didn't get any recording or Mexican Martini drinking today (Sat). That and I was probably too dehydrated from being out in the sun to drink them. Tomorrow Sunday is a possibility though. Maybe I'll put my Margaritaville version out.
For those of you that haven't made any Mexican Martinis...what are you waiting for? Gosh I remember back in college you never had to ask a group of people twice to have some drinks LMAO . Has it gotten that bad for all of you that you have forgotten the joys of kickin' back with a cold Margarita in hand on a hot summer day? Oh...do the poor babies not haven enough money to afford the liquor? Are you just too busy to schedule such a thing. Hehe LOL then in my opinion you are just too busy. You may have forgotten that after a margarita or two suddenly the world becomes a better, more interesting place. Why? I don't know. For some reason it just plugs you back into your simplest form. You may remember friends from High School or college - that guy or gal you used to know. You begin to reflect and wonder what happened to them. It's good for self reflection of life and your current state of existance too.
That's right all in those Mexican Martinis. Hey I also found out with the premium alcohol no hang overs as long as you don't over do it too much. Other day I had 3 with no ill effects.
No I'm not an alcoholic and I'm not trying to convert you to one. I also advise you not to drink after 1 or more of these babies. That's one reason this is done at home and as a community of people in a forum. With DUI laws now being what they are we can no longer drink and roam around. Gone forever are the 'road trips' of the past where we used to throw the cooler in the car with a bunch of beer, wine coolers, whatever and cruise to the next city or the beach or wherever. Nowadays you are likely screwed (in a bad way) if you attempt this.

Been away for awhile (well that and the KS / SS outage) so not much movement on Margaritaville. Will probably put this off until everyone has access back. Probably going to head out and climb Enchanted Rock in the heat today in preparation for next weeks mountain climbing adventure.
This reminds me though later today after I come back I may have to whip me up some more of these delicious drinks.
PS: Has anyone tried one of these recipes yet? If not, I'm surprised - but I suppose we all have our priorities. Part of mine is living the good life. LMAO

Here's a link for you Margarita afficionados. Every time I go to Colorado I have to go up through Sante Fe and stop at Maria's New Mexican Kitchen. Great New Mexican Mexican cuisine and they have over 100 Margarita recipes made with real Tequila, fresh juice, and high quality Cointreau. The interesting thing is they make these with lemon juice rather than lime because of better year round consistency. My guess is they don't get as good of produce as we do in Austin and so have to rely on limes...but not sure. Still I prefer limes, but I admit theirs are still delicious. They also have a Margarita book called 'The Great Margarita Book' with recipes and other info on Margaritas. These can be ordered online. You're welcome!
