Gary
Drove down to have a cold brew next to a lake.. All the seats were taken by a Mexican wedding.
Cake not even cut yet. A lot of white dresses... Many Champagne glasses...
Passed on the brew.
Just sayin'

Your timing is perfect Jerry...
I sent out a notice to all the regulars that there would be no Karaoke last night, (and had it posted as well). I was informed a little over a week ago that a wedding was contracted out at the venue prior to us taking on the gig.
Email me and let me know when you're coming down my friend, since we are having a Leprechaun convention soon. (J/K of course) Actually the venue owner informed me that there would be no more suprizes, but thinking about it, email me if you are driving from Hollyweird.
Hope to see you soon.
Gary

This is a karaoke themed board. If you don't have interest in karaoke and you don't want to contribute far more than you have been toward the karaoke side I suggest you go elsewhere.
The computer articles and cut/pasting of copyrighted articles will stop immediately.
Thank you.

Hey Jerry! What's this about a new admin, ..."over there"? In case you hadn't noticed....I haven't been over there in quite some time.

Judy
Hi... I missed your smile...
Ya, I guess it's time to tune in, drop out or whatever was cool in the 60s.
New guy over there has deleted most of my posts.
(Not karaoke related he said)
Like that's a sin. (Did I say sin? How religeous of me.)
I really don't care, but it seems so juvenile.
(What a joke if Neo was really Ralph...)
I did p i s s him off once.
Just sayin'

Hi Judy!
How are your show(s) going? I believe last time talking to you, you were considering a new venue, or you just started on up?
Hope and pray things are going good for you.
Gary

I read through this topic and i am a little confused?
I assume we are not discussing "OUR" Forum.
Because we obviously do allow you to talk about just about anything!
Even non-karaoke topics!
Also, as far as mentioning venues, I think I will explain the basics...
1) You can mention a venue, a KJ, a company, etc.
2) We don't want the forums to become an advertsing section. Therefore, just stating that "XYZ Club has the best karaoke," "come see ABC Karaoke at..."
3) We don't allow negative slanderous statements. Keep it positive and informative.
4) Enjoy!
I hope that helps...
Phill

Hi Lin, Hi Gary! I disappeared quickly because Ralph quite clearly told me where the door was, while telling me it was my decision whether or not to use it. I figured it's his playground, his rules, I didn't like them, so I just didn't bother going back.
Gary, the new show sucked. The owner just seemed to think that hiring me would automatically pack his club, without bothering to advertise. (he didn't even bother with advertising it on the marquee) The second week, when the club wasn't packed, he expressed his "disappointment" and I told him not to plan on me being there again. I'm just not that hungry, I guess.
Of course, I do have a human (or is that vindictive) streak in me. The woman who fired me from the club I was at for over 2 years....well, she got caught with her tongue down some guy's throat, on his tour bus...and she and her husband are divorcing. So, that club will be changing ownership, as soon as they find a buyer. It might take a while, as they're asking 1.3 million for it. Does that make me a bad person?? I mean, the fact that I'm enjoying her downfall? Once the club sells, I'll go talk to the new owners about doing a show there again....but for now I'm being a lazy bum...working one night a week

There are two kinds of people, those who think they can walk on water and those who know they can't. Let me know if you ever need to borrow my life preserver.
