Okay then Vicki, how 'bout some iof the highlights?

WELL Chuck it was a cold blustery easterly evening (the cold easterly is why I hate christchurch)
Mid summer saw us all in polar fleeces and long johns and wooly hats  LMAO We were in the cheap seats ($90 each) about 8 stories up in an open fronted stand in the stadium.
The $250 and $350 seats were in the oval but were open to the rain that fell intermitantly.
He began with In the Flesh and then went straight into Mother. His lineup was almost the same as for his In the Flesh dvd except for a different lead guitarist and one of the backing singers. Plus the addition of his son who was playing keys and some synth.
Whoever was mixing had Waters' vocals perfectly mixed. His voice sounded better than the dvd. Sadly he hadnt given as much thought to the backing vocals which were sometimes hard to hear. PP Arnold who in my opinion has a superb voice we struggled to hear at times which was really sad because on the DVD she steals the show. The first half of the show was taken up with various music spanning PF and Waters solo and included Shine on your crazy diamond, sheep, Southhampton Dock, Pigs on the wing, welcome to the machine, set the controls for the heart of the sun, perfect sense, etc. One of the features of that first half was a brand new song that would almost certainly see his show banned in USA cos it slammed Bush and slammed Blair for what they are doing in the middle east. It was rather good though.

Then the second half was devoted to Dark Side of the Moon and it was truely incredible. The great gig in the sky was superbly executed (cant recall her name) but again whoever was on the sound desk made it difficult for her by not having her in front of the music.

When returned for an encore they did The wall, comfortably numb and one other that just slips my mind.
I think the wind in the stadium prevented them from using all the visual efx they were going to use.
All in all it was well worth the money spent and with binoculars it was relatively easy to see what was going on on stage.
