They give you a lyric sheet to sing from. They words can be slightly different from what youre used to on cdg.

I haven't done it yet and I am not going to until I get to the west coast to do "it" with my friends there!!!  I am going to need moral support for sure!!!  And I can't wait to do it....

I Run a Jam Night with my band every Sunday night, it's a lot of classic rock and blues songs I'm playing drums for the house band and we know about 100 songs or so. we made a lyrics book with all our songs and treat the Jam like a Jam & Live Karaoke Night, so singers from the karaoke shows usually show up to sing with us. It's a lot of fun for everyone.

To me it sounds like it'd be a good option to have for singers.  It would get those singers who have a goal of being in a band one step closer.  Plus it just seems like it would be a thrill for singers that have never sang with a band.

I think it would be fun once in a while.  I'd get bored with the selection of songs. I can't imagine a live band would have a library of songs as large as a karaoke host. Cool idea for something different though.

And to expand on that.....

Bands are DEAD around here.  I guess Karaoke killed em.  Perhaps it would be fruitful for some of the local bands to als add in a bit of a sing alog with them.  Like they are doing a regular show, and for $10 you can pick a song and sing with them.  Hell I's pay $20 to sing with a decent band!
