YES, THAT PARTICULAR PROGRAM IS GOOD FOR PLAYING "A" KARAOKE TRACK. However, it wont manage a database of songs, it wont lookup songs, or organize them. it is strictly for playing a single song at a time.
If you are going to use it to play a "show" you need a Hoster type program.
