His mic technique is incredible. It tells a lot about how loud he is on each note. He is showing examples of off rotation, off axis and using the distance from the mic to create a virtual consistant sound level. He must be really loud to have to back up the mic 18" on some of those notes. Sounding shrill is part of the effect produced when the mic is so far away from the pallette. The base soesn't carry that well at that distance.

In my early twenties I was able to get a note just a little higher than the highest note in this song. He can proabably get higher too but the song didn't call for it.

Hocus Pocus by focus got higher than this guy.

I'll bet it's a really good $50 karaoke mike.   LMAO   The mike of choice by professional KJs. :yes:



I can hold mine away and they still are heard.   :whistle:


I'll bet it has something to do with the quality.   And price. :O  :shock:

His technique is a compressor and a pair of vice-grips. Gyess where the vice-grips go. LMAO
