Yikes I guess I better be a little more careful if I'm getting reported for having a

I have heard of spam - I just never knew what it was.
I'm a bit of a vegetarian - I don't eat a lot of meat. Sometimes I'll
have chicken. On rare occasion I'll have a hotdog or a hamburger,so
I'm not a true vegetarian. I don't have any reason except I don't care for red meat.
Both of my daughters are strict vegetarians. We have nothing against it just don't
like to eat it. A lot of people get upset with vegetarians thinking they are animal activists that is not the case here.
I had a lady get in my face about it at a family gathering. She was wondering why my girls were eating only sides like potatoe salad etc... I explained they were vegetarians and she began to lecture me on how I raised them wrong. Geeez, I don't
put people down for not liking vegetables, what the difference?

My sister was lectured a million times for raising her children wrong by her in-laws. This is because they are left handed. She no longer lives in that state. Whew.

Yeah, I'll 2nd that........ dsharrow, you can come cook breakfast for me anytime. :yum:
Everyone laughs at me, but my favorite meat to eat with eggs.... is fried bologna. I much prefer it over bacon or sausage. Ham would win out though over bologna (canadian ham slices)
Eggs over medium, buttered toast cooked on the griddle, fried bologna, and a side of fresh home grown sliced tomatoes. (salt and peppered to taste of course)
Or... biscuits and suasage gravy with sliced tomatoes.
Or left over cold fried chicken and pototoe salad with sliced tomatoes.
Thing is, I HATE to cook. When my dad stays the night on weekends, I get totally babied for breakfast, he cooks up all that, plus usually grits and hash browns. (and I rarely ever eat breakfast... but I for sure do when he's here)

Now why couldn't I have married a man who loves to cook? LMAO
Oh, looking back with eyes of wisdom, I can't even count the things I'd have done differently. (and yeah, marrying a man who either cooks or takes me out atleast every other night woud be HIGH on the list)
But, he'd have to love to do laundry too
And vacuum
And wash my truck
And do the kitchen
And dust
I'm thinking he just don't exist anyhow.
dsharrow..... My dad is the same way, he's an awesome cook, and he loves to cook for people. Mostly southern cajun style cooking, everything he cooks is very spicey, but delicious. He cooks the best venison chili, and you should taste his fried pheasant..... he slow cooks it in a frying pan then adds a homemade broth and lets it make it's own gravy.... :yum:
Wow, I need to go visit the fridge. :D

Charm my mother is 87 now She never did understand the womens lib...My philosophies stem from ranchers who lived in a soddy with a dirt floor (clean dirt floor) Everybody learns how to cook when they are able to reach the back burner on the stove... The older kids feed the the babies.. If the floor needs mopped then it is mopped If something needs washed the dairy barn floor or the kitchen it is cleaned and it dont make any difference whether youn are male female adult or kid... If the kids are hungry they can split wood and heat up the stove and cook a meal for the family...We didnt have no timeouts we were too busy learning how to live AND LOVE
That is why we click we are from the same branch and why I know how you think and your frus...trations
