Quote: I can't think of any injury more destructive than child molestation...It goes beyond flesh, it disfigures so deeply it effects their very self-their inner core...The very thing we parents are responsible to forge and protect gets damaged beyond all possible means of recovery.
Agreed, There seem to be ways to rob a person of their life without actually murdering them. Rape, Molestation, and Abuse can do just that to a child. It's sad.

Gotcha Nathan...... He's just being a rock star I guess. LOL

No need to scare people away. :D Quote: When my girls were little the only people I let watch them was my parents and best friend.
Babs, I was always the same way. My kids, when little, were rarely ever left without me anyhow. But if need be, they were with my mom or one of my sisters..... ONLY. Never once did anyone else tend my kids.
And they were never allowed to go run the neighborhood like alot of kids are. #1... I never live in town, my "neighborhood" usually consists of cows and a creek. LOL But, in years gone by I have lived in closer proximity to other homes with kids. I do now, but my kids are not so young anymore. And... as young as 6-7 years old, they are allowed to get on their bike, and ride 8 blocks away to a friends house? Not MY kids... They never went to friends' homes if I did not know the parents- VERY well. I was always open to their friends coming to OUR home, but it used to irritate me when a mother or father would bring a young child over, drop them off at the driveway, wave, and yell "I'll come back to get them about 8 if that's okay"........ and I'm left thinking..... You do not KNOW me, how can you just drop your kid at my door and leave them for hours?
Nah, I was always WAY over protective. But I'd rather be safe than sorry. Too many mom's and dad's are left to second guess choices they made that resulted in tragedy happening to their kids. I'd rather be called a strict mom- any day.

I don't respect ANY parents that allow their kids to hang out at my house, without MEETING me first.. i mean.. LOOK at me. I am a tattooed freak. Doesn't anyone use common sense nowadays?!
There are aa gazillion little brats around here that are left alone from 8 in the morning til 8 at night. We had to call the mp's on a couple families, because they let their 3, 4 and 6 year olds run around unsupervised, and they were going into peoples houses univited, and playing in the street, etc
I have some kids knock at my door, at 10:00 at night, asking if sky can come out in play... umm. SHE IS IN BED!!!! My neighbors kid is sky's age.. and weighs 50 lbs more.... umm. WTF?! That is just nUTS. and the kid is ALWAYS getting into my things. I have to lock ALL of sky's toys up, because the kid took her bike, and was riding it in the street.
I can just imagine her getting hurt, and the parents blamming ME!
One kid opened the lid on my barbeque (only charcoal bbq's here, i hate propane) when I was in the house, getting stuff... and the BARBEQUE was LIT...
I hate parents around here. I swear.
And, i have never had anyone babysit sky except for my parents, and THEY live a 24 hour drive away. So, yeah. We never go out. I don't trust the teens around here.. He.ll i used to be a babysitter, and I know what I was like when i wwas a teen!!

I have had kids stay over at my house for birthday parties and
the parents would drop off their kids without ever meeting me.
One time I got stuck with someones kid all the next day because they never came to pick them up. :O
I understand why some children are so messed up when they become adults.
They have no disciplin because the parents simply don't care about them.
