I don't think they could bust a funeral. After all, you are playing for the dead, they cant hear it. Unless you are playing some of that RAP music. that might wake the dead. :dancin:

What is the time on this one. I don't know enough about bluegrass to pick it up.

I dont know I listened to old dogs a few times and trying to stay with it but it really doesnt have a bluegrass beat... We need charm to iron it out a little.

Why not go all out,  Charge the corpse for being an adulterer too, and serve him divorce papers, and tell everybody they can't bury the guy until his delinquent interest on his personal property taxes is paid in full,  There's a lean on him, and he's not allowed to occupy any additional property until he's free of all leans and encumbrances on his current real estate

What with the outrageous amounts funeral homes or equivilant, charge to bury/incinerate you (almost as much as a wedding), there is absolutely no reason why they shouldn't be paying their fees.  Check your area, how many of you will have to pay taxes on a funeral?

Can I take my funeral as an itemized deduction if the IRS can't prove it's not a business trip ?

Nope, not bluegrass. Tom T Hall was straight up classic country.

4/4 time... btw  :D

I forgot about the:

"How old do you think I am," he said?
I said, well, I didn't know.
He said, "I turned 65 about 11 months ago."

....... talking part of that song.... guess we'll skip that part.  LOL

(Yes, I googled the lyrics, cause I forgot about this song..)

And as far as I recall, there IS no bridge in the song, I was just being a smartazz. (suprised?)  :D

So:

Well we were crying in the first pew
and the ascap guy strolled in
He said "that song is copywrit"
As he looked at me and grinned...

I brushed away the wet tears
Held my mothers' trembling hand...
Then I grabbed my sawed off shotgun
And I turned to him and said....

Your turn Ollie.
And hey, I think you might just have a hit here.

Can you IMAGINE the look on the ASCAP people's faces if you really sent this in
for copywrite, and they read it?  :rotflmao:

I'm thinking we'd get it back with a "copywrite denied" stamp on it.  LOL

But, hey, I belong to BMI....... THEY might get a kick out of it come to think of it.  :D

No, he's not the rightful owner
But you best just let it slide...

(dayum, it's too early for me Ollie.. I'm trying to stick with the whole "redneck funeral.. he's got his gun in his hand" thing, and my mind is shooting blanks)  :D

Hahaha, NO PUN INTENDED THERE.....
