Thanks, Cindy.  I've tried to avoid it on there also but it just became too much so to totally avoid it it's just best I stay away completely at least for now.  I haven't cancelled my membership yet and not sure that I want to.

I do have some other venues in which to enjoy music so I'll be experimenting with some of those for awhile.

I'm so sorry to hear it has gotten that bad. I only wrote from my experience.
I don't hang out in SS half as much as you guys, so I didn't realise it was that bad.
Hopefully it will calm down and get back to normal.

I have recently started hanging out here WAY more than in the showcase.. (HIYA JIAN)  :wave:  :D

And personally, I feel a bit guilty about it. I did start out being basically a member over there, and then when I did come over here and get active.... I kinda went haywire.  :drunk: But, I joined here for the music- and I really should get my arse back over there where I belong more often.

I'm am way too "out of the loop" as to what all is going on in SS. But, I've seen enough that it makes me sick to my stomach. I think people drag smut from here to over there and that's just not right. I noticed Mark (keepingitcntry) is subbing "Listen Only" for the most part now but I don't know why, and Rob (Qowboy Vern) has quit subbing all together, from what I heard people were dogging him because of his lifestyle choices, and Tony (Allstar) was subbing instrumentals, and took them all down because of people saying he was not the one really playing the guitar...

I mean, come on people. Mark & Rob are two of the better singers on SS of the males- deal with it whoever started slamming them, and I know dayum well Tony really played those guitar pieces cause I've heard him before.

That kinda shyt is so f'ing childish. I think alot of it is flat A$$ people being jealous of other peoples' friends, and comments, and all that... but I do think alot of it is from an outside source. Either from here, or from something done or said privately... and to take it into someone's subs is just stupid.

I don't think it will ever end, and I think Phil needs to get stricter, and post new SS rules.... if you're caught bashing and flaming for no reason... especially on subs that don't ask for critique- you should be banned from the site, no warning- no questions asked. Then maybe in future it would stop.

Rita, I know I'm not in there as much as I used to be, but PLEASE don't quit subbing songs, I do occasionally get in there to catch up to people's song lists, and you are simply one of the best females there. And I'm not just saying that, I'm sure everyone in SS would agree. To hell with those petty people. Foxe... same with you.

I agree with you totally that we need stricter rules.  I really hated to see what happened to Rob.  I met Rob when I went out to LA and he's one of the nicest people you could ever meet.  And I honestly don't know how Mark has put up with all the stuff he's had to put up with on here but he's still hanging in there.  I didn't realize that about Allstar so now I'm even more P&SS'd.

I just need to take a break from the board.  I may not be a professional musician but I do take mine and other's people music seriously.  And some of these people are just acting so "high school".  I just want to share the music with adults who enjoy each other and want to help each other......not bash them to death...and I'm not talking about critiques here either.   Critiquing is another ball game from what has been going on over there recently.  

I'm sure I'll sub again sometimes in the future but right now just not sure when that will be.  Just need to get these sour grapes out of my mouth first....

Sometimes I feel as though I live in a gigantic plastic bubble. I am so out of the "loop"... but then, it is easy to be, on here. I never notice the conflicts, or problems. I used to sub a LOT on SS... (if anyone remembers:), and a lot here. Then, i left for a long time.... ya'll were boring the h ell out of me....Now, I occasionally post ignored things in here, but even that is too much, i think....



And, i think people LIKE the idea of subbing, but feel too left out to speak up in the forums, so they stick to SS, where it more of a one on one feel. You know... someone listens to you, and comments, and you reply. You listen, and comment, and they reply. The end. here, you have to get past the "newbie" stage, for anyone to actually have a conversation with you, or not skip over the things you say... etc etc. Heck, i have been here for a couple years, and I get skipped over a lot.. mind you, i never really say anything important enough to respond to anyways.

Ok, get back to your discussion....

Rita, I know exactly what and who you are talking about. I agree with you totally, that things have gotten way out of hand over there. This past weekend I had someone I consider a friend be attacked by the person at the center of the drama causing over there and I ended up going over to their sub and telling them exactly what I thought of their stupid remark to him. Suddenly, I was "out to steal someone's joy". I think anyone who knows me knows I am not like that, but telling me to shut up and ignore a friend being attacked? It just ain't gonna happen. The person I defended emailed me and thanked me for it, but it still hurt a little that I was being accused of being mean. Fact is that as long as THAT PERSON is allowed on SS there is gonna be drama cause a friend of theirs admitted to me that they are out for blood and have no intent of stopping. It makes being on SS get less and less pleasant.. and my membership is a paid one too. Ironically the trouble maker's one isn't.... imagine that.

Yeah...I was accused of being someone's "Mommy".  I just told them that I wasn't anyone's "Mommy" on there but I sure would like to be his for about 10 minutes.  Yeah...these people are out for blood....I have proof of that when this person didn't really know where I stood with all this.  If I was the kind of the person this person is this email I have would have already been sent out to everyone on my list but I'm not that way and I think they know it.   I was told by the person that they would ruin a certain person on there no matter what it took.  I think standing up to these people is not really defending anyone....It's just telling them that some of us won't tolerate that kind of behavior.  More should do it and stay off their subs.  

Isn't it ironic that the freebies can come on here and do this to paying members?  This is where Charmin's idea of stricter rules should come in.   Shoot....if they are gonna bash you...At least make them pay for it.
