Use the crutches as part of your karaoke act---make one be a CUSTOM AIR GUITAR or maybe a custom AIR UPRIGHT BASS. Take advantage to make a joke out of them and garner more crowd sympathy!

So sorry to hear about all the crap that's hitting you all at once...
As for the girlfriend thing; I imagine she just went to "friend" status. I read one of your other posts on this situation and at least you don't have much time involved.. I know, small comfort, sorry.
As for the cell phone - man I'd hate that! I've had one stolen (recovered by the police the same night, the guy was an idiot) and our friend just had one stolen..
OMG! The knee - as others have said before, if I were closer I'd help. More than likely you'll get by with a little help from your friends :D and I'm sure the bar staff will help with what your friends can't. I hope the problem is minimal so I'll be thinking good thoughts for you.
Susie

Ummmm........WTF?
Chuck, you re-edit that edit, cause I can't read your mind yanno. What the hell did I do? I wasn't even here...
Geesh, don't talk about people when they're gone. (only... if it's good stuff) :D

Pack up your troubles in an old kit bag and
<edit>, <edit>, <edit>
BTW- Charmin, I did say nice things about you. It was too flattering to be left here. It could have been misconstrued as a crush.

Eben,
That story is all BS. Do you think some guy actually created multiple Web sites, took out a full page ad in the New York Times, appeared on several local news and radio shows, and spent over $1,000 just to get his stupid T-Mobile Sidekick back?
Here is the fatal flaw of the entire story - Being that I just lost my T-Mobile phone (which, BTW, it wasn't stolen, my buddy's GF dropped it in the ocean by accident), I know a thing or two about the SIM card.
The SIM card works just like flash or SD memory does in a camera or MP3 player, it stores all of the data from your phone like phone numbers, pictures, ringtones, etc.
Well, this guy states that he went to get a new phone, put in a NEW empty SIM card, and could all the sudden somehow view all of the calls and pictures the chick that stole his phone had taken on the OTHER phone. IMPOSSIBLE. The guy just made up an elaborate story to get his 15 min of fame, that's all. It makes for a funny story, though!!

BTW ALL,
I spoke with my bar manager, and he is going to have the kitchen guys help me set up my heavier stuff while I am off my feet. He is also going to let me store my amps and speakers at the bar for the time being so we don't have to keep transporting them back and forth (my amp case weighs about 125 lbs!!).
So everything seems to be under control. I'll definately be using the crutches for air guitar tonight and playing up the pity factor to all the lonely ladies. Of course my oh-so-pure virgin admirer will be there too, so it'll make for a good flirtin night all around!!
I'll let ya know how it goes!!

I tend to disagree. First of all, Sidekick works differently. It stores data on the server, not on the phone, unlike other cell phones. That's how Paris Hilton got all her information stolen from her, not from her phone but someone hacked in to her account at the server. I don't know about you, I would personally spend more money and time on things if someone pissed me off by delibertly rip me off.

I think I remember that. I'm surprised that I don't remember it better, it seems like an obvious security issue.

I am so sorry to hear of your run of bad luck. I just figure if I have a really bad day.
I'm sure to have a really good day coming my way.

Well, I was completely miserable, but I toughed it out and made it through the night. Most of the people didn't even realize I was injured until the end of the night. I sat on a bar stool most of the evening. Some of my regulars helped me set up and tear down and I am storing my amp case and speakers there at the bar so I don't have to transport them. All in all not so bad all things considered!!

Glad the bar's helping you thru this period.. Also, regardless of the other situation, if it makes you happy in the present.... Just take stuff one day at a time... Sometimes it's just not good to concern yourself over too much simultaneously... Give your head a break, make a decision, NOT to make a decision now... Just go with the flow.... Sometimes it's best not to stare into the dark for too long... If you like this girl, and you two get along as friends....Maybe it's best to accept that for now.... Why make more headaches for yourself...Why worry about what won't happen, or who knows.... What might.... Just let things go for now....one day at a time... Personally, I hate getting inundated with bad luck.... Just try to clear your head...
I really don't like when stuff I have drops into drains, falls off bridges, into deep water, get's eaten by pets...etc. I always get that feeling.. "I can't believe this just actually happened, no, it couldn't have".... (as you watch your Cell phone fall into the ocean)... OUCH....At least I found mine.... Truck marks, crushed plastic and all.... I think one of the toughest things a person can experience, is driving their brand new car, off've the dealership lot... and before they even have 2 miles on the car..... SMASH......extensive damage... That's just too horrible not to laugh at.... Sort've like my friends grandfather; How do you react, when you hear about someone losing their relative to a fall into a scolding bathtub...and boiling like a lobster ? Or a neighbors son who's paralyzed because he was working in a zoo, and a camel dropped down on him while he was under it ? They just plop down very suddenly,,,, front legs bend forward, rear legs backward.... and PLOP... straight down...
Of course these aren't funny things by anymeans.... But they are so catastrophic, and just plain weird.... What else can you do ?
I suppose what I'm saying, is I really have very little to say... goodnight all....time to crash !
