all star or all hits?

I personally LOVE the smaller disc sets like All Hits, Dangerous, Helluvadisc... only because they give you songs that nobody else really is.

I mean, SC just yesterday announced they were doing "Kid is Hot Tonite" by Loverboy... where All Hits had that covered ten years ago!!

sorry, I meant I don't like "All Star".  I like the All Hits and Dangerous as well.  I use the Dangerous version of "You Oughta Know" over the Sound Choice.

Been awhile since I've been out here, but this post caught my eye and piqued my interest. :swg: As far as cdg's go, I too like the SC, BUT...I'm very attached to my tried and true Pioneer Laser discs. It still amazes me that people will still choose those versions over the cdg formats. I know Lonman still uses them, but I don't hear of many others out here that do. Actually, one of the main reasons that people come to my shows is due to the Pioneer Laser discs. BTW, that Dangerous Collection is great.....lots of "forgotten stuff"!! :biggrinthumb:
Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Well, I guess I agree with you all if it's for Karaoke purposes, but no way will I say that SC has the best sound overall for studio recording. I find them to be way too commercial sounding, not enough acoustic instruments used and too often on the wrong key compared to the original..

Man which discs are you listening to?  Wrong key?  I have found very little Sound Choice discs to be in the wrong key as compared to many other brands.  Also they sound more accurate to the original recording than most others as well.

I agree with Chartbuster, but only for country although their disco pack is pretty good.  Most of the rock/pop I find lacking in fullness & instruments.  Music Maestro I wouldn't touch if someone gave me the entire collection - Come Sail Away by Styx is the absolute worst, as a matter of fact that entire disc is terrible.  They do have some ok country & 50's/60's music I will give them that.

Legends are very hit or miss, some are great, many more aren't.

Just my 2 cents.
