Can't wait !!!! It'll be a blast. I hope more people want to get involved and come, it will be great. I have been on SS for a little over a year, but I know some people have been chatting away for 2 or 3 years. It would be awesome for us all to get together

I have had to stop working on this event due to some personal things in my life. I do have a venue all set for this event and can give the names of the nearby hotels if anyone wants to continue on with the rest of the planning. Just let me know.
I will be at the event and can help out with some of it, just don't have the time right now to do it all.

Oh, I am sure I will get more involved as things settle down here. And yes I will make sure I let Coach Dave know that Cokes are allowed in class.
Currently we have the venue for June 2nd and 3rd and if the need arises I'm sure he would let us go into Sunday too.
So, anything else you wanna do while you are here?? I was going to check and see if the Rangers are playing intown on that Saturday and maybe we could do an afternoon at the ballpark....They have beer!!!

The Rangers are in Chicago that weekend, but the Frisco Roughriders are in town. Six Flags will be open. The Mesquite Rodeo is on. There's Horse racing at Lone Star Park.

I always forget about the horse track, it's pretty darn cool. I think we should add that to our agenda. Not sure if Mesquite Rodeo does anything during the day, I thought it was a nighttime thing. I hope Dave is taking notes????

Maybe Dave or somebody with some computer/internet skills can figure out how to do an audio (maybe even video) podcast of the KS get together down in Texas. That way, those who won't be able to make it in person can at least hear what happened.

That is an awesome idea..I have a webcam..and the place we will be does have DSL...Or I have a video camera and we could do something like that too...
Dave is coming over tonight...I'll talk to him and see what we can figure out between the three of us...

I'm not sure if Phil or whoever has the capability to do this but a podcast wouldn't be any conflict of interest. You're not selling anything, it's all non-profit -- if anything you're helping to promote the whole idea behind this sight.

I sent a PM to Phil the webguru to try and find out if this idea of KS carrying a live podcast or broadcast is even possible. ~ Don
