The only thing about gettin a laptop is that most hosting programs u should have 1 gig of ram...new sound cards..and all that other stuff..ect..(a new laptop)
I have 6000 songs..combined of cd and cdg..what size hard drive should i get?
I like the idea of a used cheap lap top..just don't know if it would accomadate?
I have run RoxBox and winamp on a pentium II 300 MHz laptop with 128 mhz without a hiccup. Right now I have a choice, depending on how my back is feeling of a 1 ghz rackmount computer and a 366 mhz laptop I just upped the ram to 256 mb on. Both run roxbox perfectly and Roxbox will do almost everything one would need for hosting a karaoke show and is less than what one would spend on Hoster Lite which I also own by the way. I prefer RoxBox over Hoster. Why? I can't put hoster on the laptop as it won't run on 98SE like RoxBox will.
