melly did you hear the one about the little kid that moved up here from Mexico...The first snow storm he went running outside he was so shocked he fainted...

It took 3 buckets of sand to revive him LOL

Ok as some of you know, I'm a military wife and my husband was in Iraq during the "war on terrorism" which turned into "Operation Iraqi Freedom"  anyway, I listen to his storys about how 118 degrees F was nothing over there.  And that when there was a sand storm he said it would be like holding a blow dryer in your face and then throwing sand in it lol.  BUT the thing that I noticed was very odd to me was that when he got acclimated to that HOT HOT HOT weather he came home and would shiver when it was below 80 degrees....... I just thought it odd what the human body can get use to if it has to :)

ROFL...you nut! ...i wonder...if it will work with ash? cuz..that's all i have!..LOL...love ya too...

Nicole...that's how i am now. I lived in Phoenix in 1978...and they had a heat wave up to 118!! Great googly moogly!...it reaches 79...i'm under a electric blanket...

This is sick!...This is just not right for Louisiana!

It got down to 26 last night and is expected to dip to 20 tonight!

I am going to build a big fire for the horses right up next to the fence tonight and load them up with sweet feed.
