Dave- I'm waiting to get out of here in the morning too. We are going up to Detroit Lake for the weekend. I'm taking my fly rod out fishing- first time for this summer- so I'm excited. I didn't get to go last year. (so.... haven't caught any fish in about TWO YEARS........ )
(actually........ I am supposed to be out there getting the camping gear ready, haha)

You have quite a weekend planned. Fly rod, huh? You must be serious about fishing.

I got into fly fishing on a borrowed pole once, I loved it. (my dad has always done it too). So my hubby and kids got me a fly rod & a fly tying kit for mothers day one year, and I've been hooked ever since.
(yeah, I know- that's a pretty redneck mothers day gift- but I loved it, and I was surprised too)

Yeah, fly rods aren't exactly a good gift for the women-folk round here. I was never good at picking gifts. Diamond earings are the start and end of my imagination where that is concerned.

Well, I guess I'm not your average girl. I finally convinced my hubby that I am really not into frilly jewelry....... I like the simpler things. I'm not very "flashy".
Actually, it would be a pretty boring thread if I really DID talk about my clothes and makeup, haha. Jeans, uh- some other jeans, uh- some cut off jeans, uh- some faded jeans........ some tank tops........ some flannels. That's about it.

I have three kids though they don't live with me. I drive a sedan. I'll probably get a new car next year.
I grew up on boats and fishing in the Great Lakes and lakes in Minnesota.

I've never been on boats much......... bass boats, ski boats, but not BIG ones.
My boss is going to be at the same lake I am, he invited me to come down and go on his boat over the weekend, and go swimming. Imagine that.
Hey- Dave- I see what you're doing!!!!!!!!!
I started a "girlie" thread and you've got me talking about GUY things.
You're slick..........

Hmm, only time I ever wore make up was when I was in college. I took a drama class to fulfill humanity requirement (engineering major). I guess the instructor thought I was good enough so she recomended me to a part being directed by a graduate student for his thesis. No audition and I got the part (total of 6 lines for the whole show).
Anyways, first night of final rehearsal I get to the backstage and people says "where is your make up?" Well, I never wore make up before, let alone how to do it. Luckily a friend of mine who is a drama major was in the show and showed me how.
One thing I learned from it. I would never do it everyday for the rest of my life.
Wait, I just noticed the title of this post. No boys allowed? Thank god I am a man not a boy.

Lol- you're cracking me UP!!!!
It looks like the girls came in while I was off chatting elsewhere.
We were gonna talk about girl stuff until LONMAN started talking about deriers........ then DAVE started in on fishing........
So- personally, I use mostly all Cover Girl. I'm not into the fancy stuff, I don't wear alot of makeup anyhow. That picture is a LIE.......... that was for a, uhhh....... thing I did. I never wear that much makeup, but I really had it piled on.
And in the summer, I don't wear much at all......... but I buy the Clinique "Almost Makeup" foundation. It's really light. I hate that thick, cakey stuff. Though I do (always) pile on the mascara, bad habit I have always had. And I always wear lip gloss. Never ever apply blush, don't use powder hardly ever. Only sometimes eyeshadow.
My hair...... oh gosh, maybe someone else shoulda started this girlie thread- I'm just not a good candidate for it. This was dumb. I don't do much to my hair either. I pretty much let it grow, keep it trimmed when it needs it. I never blow dry. Never use styling products AT ALL. Now and again I use Clairol Natural Instincts (temporary washed out in 28 shampoos- SUEDE color to be exact) to wash out the light streaks I get from being in the sun. Sometimes I throw a few curls in it- for work or when I'm going out.
I DO take good care of my skin....... I guess that's my only "girlie" thing. I hate dry skin, I hate hairy legs, . I scrub my face with raw sugar every day, and twice a week I use a olive oil/alvacado mask that I make fresh myself. I ALWAYS wash my face at night before bed & put on vitamin E oil.
(any guys left in the room??.................. didn't think so)
Sad thing is......... I'd rather talk about guitar picks, or mandolin strings, or fiddle rosin brands........ even tying flies, or my edelbrock cam & lifter set & intake we put on my Bronco, haha.

You sound like fun. SO....... someday when we're both single (I'm still presently married, haha) we'll have to go out scouting. Shoot- I'm not too shy. I'll yank their shirts up for ya & you can judge them. I happen to be a 6 pack kinda gal myself, haha. And yeah, anything black....... if it's you know- LEATHER- works for me too.
