Nobody else EVER sings these songs?  These are done almost nightly at my shows.

Songs i've done that aren't ever done (or rarely) at my shows at least.

Burning Heart - Vandenburg
Alone Again - Dokken
Hemmorage - Fuel
Hard Luck Woman - KISS

Loveshack? Paradise? American Pie? Those 3 HAVE TO BE the MOST "OVER-LOVED"
Karaoke ANTHEMS there are! I'm with Lon---If those arent being sung EVERY FREAKIN NIGHT then they MUST NOT BE IN  YOUR SELECTION!!!! :)

With those 3 its worse than an OVERPLAYED TOP-40 hit on AM RADIO! :)

But you GOTTA LOVE EM'! Cause of all the JOY they've brought to WHO KNOWS how many MILLIONS of Singers in the KARAOKE NATION!

And you can bet that those will be the songs the people remember and how much FUN they had when it comes time for them to decide where to go for thier next BIG NIGHT OUT!  :)

Anyway, what unique ones do you sing????

UGH!  This place I used to go, well, this one guy sings '(@$%&#!) Control' EVERY FREAKIN' NIGHT!!!  Friday and Saturday, every weekend.  And perhaps what's even more annoying than hearing it is seeing all the drunkards flock to the dance floor to bust their moves.  No wait, that's the funny part.  Or him singing it is.  Or the dancing.  Or the falling down dancing.  Or the people getting up on stage to do the "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!  (@$%&#!) Control" falsetto part to 'back him up'.  Or the old woman splitting her sparkly dress.  Nah.. they're all equally funny.

Songs I sing that I never hear anyone else sing (live karaoke, anyway -- heard a few of these as subs, which was cool):
Fever - Madonna
Naked Eye - Luscious Jackson
No Rain - Blind Melon
Just Like Heaven - The Cure
Self Control - Laura Branigan
Don't Get Me Wrong - The Pretenders
What I Am - Edie Brickell & the New Bohemians
Glamorous Life - Sheila E.
Ex-Girlfriend - No Doubt
Do You Sleep - Lisa Loeb & Nine Stories
Wrong Impression - Natalie Imbruglia
Anything But Down - Sheryl Crow
32 Flavors - Alana Davis
Sleep To Dream - Fiona Apple

And I'm sure there's more.... just can't think of them at the moment  LOL

Wow I just thought I sang a lot of different songs.

I live in Cincinnati and it's pretty easy to sing something different around here.  I tend to sing Sinatra songs that aren't so overdone.  Like "Tender Trap."  And believe it or not "The Way You Look Tonight" (few KJ's have it anymore).

My Spanglish gets me through "La Bamba".  It's so much fun to sing.

The best "different" song I have ever heard was done by someone else.  He sang "Oklahoma" and had everyone doing yippy-yi's :)

Well, I don't recall hearing these ones (probably fortunately) at the shows I frequent:

I Melt With You - Modern English
Safety Dance - Men Without Hats
Treat Her Like a Lady - Cornelius Brothers
Breakup Song - Greg Kihn Band
Is It My Body - Alice Cooper
Breakin' the Law, Turbo Lover - Judas Priest
No Matter What, Baby Blue - Badfinger
Sour Girl - Stone Temple Pilots
Love is the Drug - Roxy Music
Don't Dream It's Over - Crowded House
Good Times Roll - Cars
Dirty White Boy - Foreigner
When I'm 64 - Beatles

Admittedly, I need to update.  The other more common ones I like to do are also pretty dated (e.g., Behind Blue Eyes, Green-Eyed Lady).  Probably the newest one I've done more than once is Like a Stone (Audioslave), which is not terribly new though.  I rarely sing at my shows (I joke that it's "bad for business"), but I do like to get out to others periodically.

These are actually songs that I would be likely to hear at my shows sometime during the week.  Almost all of them.

I look for songs that don't get sung very much 1.) for the challenge  2.) for a more selfish reason, if i sing something popular everyone wants to run up and sings with me and 99.9% of the time they sing off Key so i let them finish the song by them selfs. So i stray to the Unsung songs we all Love to hear.

Fat Bottom girls- Queen
Minnie the Moocher - Cab Callaway
Stars - Les Miz
sweet Transvestite - RHPS
Havin' a Party - southside Johnny
Little Respect - Erasure
Situation - Yaz-zoo
September - EWF
Fantasy - EWF
Video Killed The Radio Star - The Buggles
You took the words Right out of my mouth - Meatloaf
Artificial Flowers - Bobby Darin
Morse Code Of Love - The Capris
Jump In The Line - Harry Belifonte
Ballad of Billy The Kid-  Billy Joel
Me and Julio Down By the school yard - Paul Simon

Just a small list of the Unsung (in my Area) songs i try to sing.

I try to sing new songs every time I go, which can be tough specially when the number of songs are limited. Everyone seems to have their favorites they sing regularly. Here are some I sing just because no one else does. I don't particularly sing well, just try hard.  LOL

More than words
Blinded by the light
Pleasant Valley Sunday
Lola

This is a really amazing thread.  Looking at the songs on the list I can see a regional difference, there are some folks listing "unusual songs" for them that I hear most any night - and in other cases songs I've never heard before.

All very interesting.  GREAT thread!

I'll do the Rodeo Song when I'm not hosting - one of my favorites - everyone loves it...although I'm not sure how well it would go over in a Korean Karaoke bar...

Just out of curiosity, which songs do you hear regularly that are listed by others as songs they sing that nobody else does?

I hear the following:

    What a wonderful world
    T.R.O.U.B.L.E.
    La Bamba
     Love Shack
     Alcohol (Richard sings this one)

I expected to hear more of the songs listed but for the most part they are "unsung" at our shows as well.  I'd love to hear them!
