Hmmmmm...... I was 5 months pregnant and anxiously awaiting the birth of my son (May '83).

Gosh Crystal... I had no idea you were only 22. Maybe I didn't read your profile too well.... or maybe I did... and blocked it from my mind.


And ....... Birkenstock sandals may have made their orginal appearance "back in the 70's" ... But..... they are very popular and MANY still wear them today. I noticed just last week.... that they even have a variety of styles now... some very "today".

'83 - I was 20 in the US Army stationed in Fort Bragg NC Jumpin' outta perfectly good airplanes for an extra $100 per month!

Lol, I remember clueing in that Crystal was a year younger than me... I was surprised:) I thought she was a lot older!

But.. then, I come across as though I am 12.... well, until I mentioned a husband and a kid.. and then i confuse the heck out of people:)

in '83, I was in combat for two days in Grenada, 18 yrs old, with fresh memories of being a high school senior (graduated in 1982)

you all thought I was OLDER?!?! how the heck did you think that...

I'm not even gonna tell you how old my avatar pic is! cuz if THAT's what you judged my age by then you're REEEEALLY off!

1983 wasn't a bad year. I was in school, and that year was quite memorable because the mothers of the other 4th graders baked me cookies for my 27th birthday.
