I don't know if it makes a difference, but the Adele songs can only be purchased on a custom disc. The download feature for all Adele songs is disabled.
Yep...makes a difference. The PRS license clearly stipulates that a UK license covers only EU.
It doesn't say 'only'. It doesn't say it doesn't cover other areas. It is vague.
If I can buy music in the US without using VPN and PRO fees are covered at my venues, it's fair game. Risk, if any, is VERY low that I'm doing anything wrong, and even lower that I'll be sued for any perceived wrongdoing or infringement.
