Yes, even guys have (or can have) a weight problem.
I decided to try to shed the pounds by losing hair. It didn't work very well, as the balder I got, the heavier I got.... (right Matt?)
And, quitting beer was out, so what's a guy to do.
So for new years, I resolve to record and submit some songs.
(I know, I know)
This will force me into a practice mode for a bit first, and it will be fun.
(It will be fun, right?)
That's the official JDMeister "New Years Resolution".
My best to everyone for all of the holidays.

yup... men can def have trouble losin....
Ma daddy struggled fer years... not a FAT man really.... just got a helluva gut! ! (must be a maritimer thing! !)
so anyways... he tried all kinds of things... Atkins, Slim Fast... etc.... lost about 20-25 lbs on those, but it all came back..
THEN he tried weight watchers..
HE'S LOST ALMOST 70 LBS! I barely recognize him after all that weight was gone... it was crazy... he's downright SKINNY now! ! he wears a size MEDIUM shirt from about XXL.... crrrazy! his pant size barely changed, cuz he wore his pants UNDER his gut! ! ! his face is all skinny too... and so far.. he's kept it off. Been about 6 months now I guess.
actually ma sis had some good success with weight watchers too... My mom too.... My mom's the size of a BIRD in the first place... we hate ppl like her that go to weight watchers, don't we? ! !
ok.... shutting up now..

Whooohooo!! Practice schmactice .... get those songs up JD!!!
Crystal.. I have known others who swear by Weight Watchers too. It seems to be one of the most well rounded and healthy programs around... and most important... EASY to follow and maintain! Cause it's not really a "diet".... it's a way of life!
Hey... here's to breaking bad habits!!!

Elisha, welcome back!! Missed you much girl. Hon, with that voice of yours, I know you can succeed. Yes, sadly it's true this industry is just evil the way they shun you if you're less than model perfect. I'm no Twiggy either, so I know I've got obstacles ahead of me. But guess what, I'm going for the gold. What's the worst that could happen? If I don't reach my goal, it's not going to matter as much as if I'd never tried. I will not let this fear control me anymore. It's ridiculous. Losing weight is very difficult, but it can be achieved and there are many ways to do so. I agree, Weight Watchers is the healthiest of them. You need support. Maybe we can start a little club here for that, if you'd like. Or just write to me when you need to. I care very much, Elisha and there are plenty of others here that care about you as well. Please don't despair. You're a beautiful person inside and out.
Crystal, I had BETTER hear that you're trying out for Canadian Idol when it rolls around again!! Do you HEAR ME????!!!
Metalgod, you think I look like Mallory Keaton??! Just don't say our IQs are the same and all is well! Thanks for the congrats!
Reina, I think your resolutions are just great! I'd love to learn Japanese, practice dancing and become a pretty teenage girl!! Except I'm waaaay past that last one!! That for me would be more like a fantasy than a resolution, !
Jose, you stud you! I shoulda known that would be your chosen profession. You pass the hunk-o-meter test for fire-fighting and of course, it's an honorable profession, too!! Miami will be a little safer with you here!
Sher, and the rest of you, I'm keeping my lip zipped for now. I just gotta see how things go, k?
Guys, I love reading all about your resolutions! Now the trick is keeping 'em year round!!

I did the glue my a$$ to an exercise bike diet, with a side of walk your butt off:) Very effective;) And most people know, I don't consume any sugar, ever. Etc etc. I don't follow any specific plan, like, weight watchers, or atkins, or any of the other ones. Just, the melt your big butt away one:)
Ok, gone now. Lol, I knew the fat a$$ resolution one would be popular:) You DOESN"T want to lose weight for the new year. harder with me:) My little sis is a nutrionist, and like a size 0... argh. "what is THAT you are eating Gillian".... argh, I don't PAY you, go awAY!!

Crystal, , my hubby's prescrip. is stronger;) he loves his contacts though, he has been wearing glasses since he was 3.
I had glasses in high school... but then again, I was stoned for the eye exam..... (i never wore the glasses) and now, my vision is perfect:)
Lol, nah, I had trouble reading music, the little black notes moved, and were all gray, hard to focus on... but, now that I don't play in any ensembles, and I don't drive very often, the doc, says I don't have to wear 'em.
yes:) (I have cool glasses though.... but, they are kids.. I have a TINY head:)
Why did I share this? beats me.

I'm goin' to as soon ma eyes stop changin' they STILL get progressivly worse every time I get an exam done.... s'pose to wait till they hit a plateau.... otherwise I'd spend all this money... then have to git glasses again in another couple yrs! !
My contacts used to do crrrazy things to my eyes too! I used to wear them FAAR to much.... and my doc said something about my cornia "going into" my retina..... whatever THAT means...
It's fixed now.... all it took was a break from ma contacts...
I HATE being Blind!!!! I can't even IMAGINE what it would be like to wake up in the morning and SEE!
