I use the grandtec.com pc to video converter for composite out and add a $25 radio shack rf mod if I need coax. the grandtec is 75 bucks. It works, it's cheap.

The cheapest I could get mine were $289 per receiver/ transmitter. But it can be affordable if you buy one at a time or per gig..use a splitter for hdmi or RCA, composite or whichever until you can get the wireless. Because wow does it shorten your setup time and has way more distance to hook up than anything.. Unles you want cords galore.

New receiver just showed up. Had some scratches on it like the new/other I bought. Ok as long as it works for a long long time!

It appears like that but did you peel the plastic sheet off? There is a protective sheet that comes on the transmitters/ receivers.

Very light scratches, I'm not too worried. My new lyrics monitor showed up today. Hooked it up with the receiver, totally sweet! Will velcro it to the back of the monitor.

My backup laptop doesn't want to extend to the new lyrics monitor. My main had no problems but everytime I try to extend on my back up to the monitor, it blacks out my laptop screen and makes the monitor the screen. I've even tried troubleshooting online by googling with no luck. Wondering if it has anything to do with the new hard drive I put in it a month or so ago.

I wouldn't imagine so.. Generally you get a black screen obviously if your CPU goes into screensaver mode. Most of the time it has to do with the connection first and check to make sure everything is green on the units. Next I would check by pushing I think it's windows key and p if I remember correctly

Unfortunately it's not that simple. My thinkpad at work would do that when I first bought it and tried to extend to a projector for presentations. I had to hit fn and f5 (or f7, can't remember but tried that too in this case) and then the thinkpad screen would come back. I will talk to my computer guy, he put the hard drive in.

But I found another on Amazon which is better for my application and should work, $79.00. StarTech.com High Resolution VGA to Composite (RCA) or S-Video Converter - PC to TV Video Adapter - 1600x1200 RGB to TV Converter. http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Reso ... B001NXDQEKJust guessing. Would this be same as the the item you described? Been using this & works like a charm! http://www.monoprice.com/products/produ ... 1&format=2Hey Brian just to let you know I received this unit and used it last night, Thurs, worked flawlessly and much clearer than the one that burned out. Thanks again! I would love to get one of the wireless models, but I don't make that much money doing this show, but I had a nice crowd last night the biggest so far with standing room only. Thank God for the warm weather! Thanks again Brian!

Awesome! You're welcome, Rangerover. 'Tried other brands too but somehow that's the only brand that works for me. Glad I was able to help out.
