I really appreciate you posting this Lonnie. Gives me some good ideas on songs I need to buy.

Possibly, again this is just one club. If you look at some of the previous comments/list postings, others said they'd never even heard of those songs.
I was hoping more would post their top listings as well to get a comparison of what's being sung in other areas. I'll continue to post each month. Snuff - Slipknot seems to be our stronghold right now - almost 3 months straight it's been the top sung song - by MANY singers, not just 1 or 2.

What's up with your Slipknot singer(s) did they move on to other songs or were they out for a reason?

Don't have my list handy, but i do remember the Portishead song Glorybox being sung more than a few times- ugh....starts slow then gets LOUD then goes slow again. Puts people asleep at the end...and they clap because It's OVER.

The Gangnam Style song was done only twice last month versus dozens in Nov/Dec 2012

The most popular songs at my shows if i recall were from the 80's-90's with zero requests for Lady Gaga, Bieber, or Rihanna, which was nice for a change. Adele has also fallen "from grace".

Just the opposite here. Had a packed dance floor with couples doing little dirty dance grinds on each other. It actually gets a great reaction.

Not exactly sure what happened to Snuff . Same people that sang it still come in, just moved on to other songs.

Just looked at my top ten for the past 2 years. They are as follows (be warned, it's a pretty boring list):

See? Really basic list. The Prince tune is strictly in there because of me, and I know I've contributed to the numbers for "Use Somebody" (when I'm under the weather, I queue it up when I need to sing something, because it's easy to do and a little rasp doesn't sound out of place). The rest of them are pretty much staples - I'm not a huge fan of any of them (well, I think when removed from its karaoke context, "Rolling in the Deep" is a very good song), but they're what's popular.

The remainder of the top 20 contains all of the other Adele songs: "Turning Tables", "Chasing Pavements", "Set Fire to the Rain", "Rumor Has It"... it's ridiculous how much karaoke singers love Adele. It's like the book never gets opened past "A".

I bought just about every Adele song made pretty much (25 karaoke versions) in anticipation that she would be sung alot. Not as often as I thought. Rolling In The Deep only crept back up to the top on my list because of a new singer that started coming in.

I find these lists very interesting. As I've stated in a previous thread, I have only been doing karaoke since Nov '09. I did my very first show with only 500 songs and today my little library is only around 2500 songs, however; as I look on these lists, my small library has almost every song posted here.

At one of my shows, (a casino in the middle of nowhere), they sing a lot of country so my list would have quite a few more country songs than what has been listed so far.

Here is a list of the most sung songs in March. There were a total of 1813 songs done. The songs with a * were new to the books - only 1 new song was actually in this list! Snuff managed to sneak it's way back to the top spot!

Out of the 100 most popular songs in March 2013 at Lonnie's venue, I counted 18 that have been sung at my venue in the recent past, and only 48 that I can remember being sung ever in my 8.5 year run at my current venue, so like 52% of his top 100 have NEVER been sung at my venue in 850+ shows.

I'll pull out my top 100 tonight and post them, but I promise they are VERY different than Lonnie's!
