Congrats on the good weekend guys & gals.  I wish I could say the same.  We had (4) crap nights in a row.  It was rather disappointing.  Hopefully we have a very big weekend coming up for the end of Deer Season in the great up north!  MrD

The Saturday before Thanksgiving was slow, so I was a bit worried. I was happy to have Wed. busy. This weekend Friday was busy and a bit crazy. I swear there was a full moon. We had a fight almost start and a few yelling matches. Saturday was much nicer. It was busy, but mellow.

I don't usually count how many singers I have. I sort of an idea  because I use magnets to keep track of singers though. When I have to start using my round magnets I know I have over 20 singers which is most nights. When I run out of magnets I have a rotation of over 40. That has only happened a few times.

I laughed when you said 32 singers would mean the whole bar was singing. If I have 10 or 40 singers singing I usually have the whole bar singing.  LMAO Very few people don't sing in our bar.

It just goes to show the way people partied.  Wed before T-Giving was slammed - 30 singer round, T-Giving 32 singer round, Fri 29 singer round, Sat 25 singer round, Sun 8 singer round   .  Our Sundays I normally average anywhere from 12-18 per round.

I was so busy Wed and Thurs I stopped karaoke and just dj'd from 11pm to 2am.

Sometimes it's too busy for karaoke. when there is 10 singers and 100 people in the bar I rather the 100 non-singers stay. I get paid on sales.

But you also have to look at it as if those 90 people who are there for that 10 singers - which often that ratio is right, they ARE there for karaoke regardless of whether they are singing or not, their friends are there & they will stay regardless - at least in my 15 years experience.

I went to my favorite show (early dinner karaoke on Sunday) thinking "it won't be crowded -- everyone will be tired from Thanksgiving". Wrong! It was packed.

I guess every place can be different....
