70's was A LOT for me.  It was just about all encompassing.  As a bass player I loved funk/and disco..  as a guitarist and keyboardist classic rock (as we call it today).  and as a kid,  the tail end of sex, drugs, and rock and roll.  That was long ago..  I didn't even have 1000 posts here in KS at that time !

Not to brag,  but I knew that !!!

Yep Uriah Heep, and Wishbone Ash were pretty tough to cover !

Blowing free was a tricky guitar part for a three piece band when I was 17.  The
wizard was tricky.

Now how did I forget to ad Wishbone Ash, that was some great stuff, I was just listening to some a few weeks ago, I think it was their very first album, the one with just the Wishbone on the cover.  Every once in awhile I dig out the old vinyl and give it a turn. Brings back a lot of memories. We still cover one Uriah Heep tune, Stealn' and as a matter of fact I sing that one. I think probably my favorite UH albums were " Magicians Birthday " and "Demons And Wizards" even though "July Morning" is one of my favorite songs of all time( I think that was off of "Look At Yourself). I'm trying to get the guys to do that one. When the crowd requests Stealn' they refer to it as the Do Do song (for obvious reasons) Like "will you play the DO DO song tonight" Come on Kappy, time to blow the dust off of one of those nice guitars you have and get rocking again, it's never to late.

You are absolutely correct !    I'm practicing, and when I get back out there I'm going to smoke !   (Hopefully I'll get some playing in before the friction from my arthritic finger joints starts producing smoke however).
