All the better that it can be seen. Several of the songs I do have the wrong lyrics, or I do them just a bit differently. I wouldn't care if someone did question me -- but it has never happened. I haven't done enough KJ gigs to have people ping me about what singers do -- does that even happen?
Heck, it doesn't matter if you miss a word or two. If you take a missed phrase in stride, 9 times out of 10 no one notices. Heck, I repeated a whole verse once and got a big round of applause -- I don't think anyone noticed.
I sang tonight at a place that had a big screen behind the singer, a small one in front -- and one to the side. Perfect, and I had a blast and sang well.
