Just an FYI, If you haven't seen the filings on this, you should take a look. Apparrently Famous has decided to go after CAVS not only for copyright infringement but also under the unfair business laws. They are going after them for what looks like every format they have used. Download, SCDG, CDG, MP-3, Also they have named panorama and chartbusters. Thet seem to be asking for relief both criminally and civally. this might tie into wether you want to be a disc or computer KJ. Also you might notice along with the other things Cavs isn't doing any more, They no longer have a SCDG player listed for sale or SCDG's. However if any of you noticed they sold a ton of them on E-BAY in the last six weeks. Food for thought

Famous has been going after Panorama & CB since '06 on that same issue.

Famous settled with chartbusters in late 05 or early 06 and had to remove approx. 600 songs from there song list and pay an undiclosed amount of money, same as SC, and probable stellar if they loose or settle there lawsuit with famous. This is in direct relation to CAVs,Panaorama and CB, That's why I said again, It was in reference to CB. Unless you know something I don't this is the first time panorama has been involved with a lawsuit with famous. It did loose it's lawsiut with stellar in late 06 or early 07

and your opinion, thoughts, pertinent input regarding Famous Music vs Cavs Lawsuit would be?...
Hey I don't mind reading your take on the world, just wish you'd put it in the right place. How about starting a new thread, more people will see it and you'll probably get a full blown discussion on the state of things (sounds like maybe you'd enjoy that?!)
One more thing, sorry this is a criticism: please stop capitalizing the first letter of every single word. It's easier for everyone to read if you just capitalize the old fashioned way.
Again, not trying to ruffle feathers. More people will read posts (and perhaps give more weight to their content) if they're delivered in a "non-annoying" way, ie. short paragraphs, all caps only for yelling, yadda yadda yadda...

I'm a little confused by the information. If you go to the website not only do they list SCDGs and their players, but they are selling them. http://www.cavsusa.com

Babs, I have to admit that is a little confusing, they weren't there this morning. Maybe thats's why famous has filed for an injunction with the court to have all sales by Cavs stopped.

Amendment V
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Amendment VII
In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

So what does that have to do with Copyright law and royalties of song writers, book writers, etc. I see nothing unconstitutional about it.

That burden is of the people whom sell me cd's.. I or my customers are not responsible for artists copyright laws nor should we be limited by laws that were written for vynal recordings made 50 years ago.

I went to the CAVSUSA website and could not find any SCDG's listed. I only found this sentence:
Super CD+G discs are convenient and economical for parties and rentals. Super CD+G discs will save you time and time. Please contact your local karaoke dealers or sales@cavsusa.net for available Super CD+G discs.
Can anyone actually find the discs for sale? I know at one time the had all of them listed, but now you need to email them to get the list.....Hmmmmm

What you Revenge Entertainment do not understand is this....."Some of us do not give a flip flying fart if it is legal" or not!!!!!!!
It does not matter to some of us if it is legal or not!!!!!
Do you not understand that some people simply do not care if it is legal or not?????
How many times must one tell you that they do not care????
Nothing you can say or do is going to change this fact!!!!!!
NOTHING WHAT SO EVER WILL CHANGE THIS!!!!!!!!
Do you understand now????? I think the answer is NO! ...You dont!!!!
So I will make it clear.......
Some People in the music industry stole my work and made money from it!!!
They never paid me for my work nor gave me credit for it!!!!!
So when that happened....I made the choice to do unto them as they have done unto me!!!!! and I will do it for as long as I live!!!!!! The law did not protect me, and it will not protect them.....They have more money to fight in court than I do, and I am not the only one that they have done this way!!!!
The above is my reason for thinking the way that I do now, and nothing is going to change this until someone pays me what is due to me...and that will never happen!!! So I will continue to do unto them as they have done unto me....Period!!!!
Thank you...Thank you very much!!!!

Actually Neo...no one said they didn't care. What they all said was that they thought it WAS legal. Try reading peoples' posts before you go flying off the handle next time. But, by saying that people don't care if it's illegal, you are, at least, admitting that it IS illegal. That's a start. Thanks Neo.

Go back and read mine as I added my reasons for feeling the way I do about this!!
And....As long as it is for sale and I want it..I will buy it!!!!
I'll just save it as a collectors item if nothing else....
and BTW...I was letting you know in plain terms what you did not seem to comprehend from what you have read from others!!!
you are the one who don't get it, and that is why I said what I just did...Trying to help you understand....
Those who do care will stay legal if at all possible, but trying to fight this thing we call the digital age is like the 8 Track tape companie's trying to fight cassette tape technology....and then them trying to fight cd & dvd technology....
Technology will progress even if you don't like it,or at least it has in the past!!

Actually, Neo, I totally understood everything they were saying. They don't like the law, it's an old fashioned notion and they think they can break it and not pay the consequences. Maybe YOU don't care that you are breaking a law, but THEY just think the law is wrong and don't think that they are breaking it. Once again, read their posts THEN throw a tantrum if you need to. It is YOU who does not get it.
Oh...and...when did the karaoke manufacturers steal your work and not give you credit? Remember, the karaoke manufacturers are NOT the WHOLE music industry. If they aren't the ones who hurt you, then you are not "doing unto others."
