I'm having serious issues this morning. My Cuisinart broke and I
am without my coffee. It is going to be crabby Babs today.
I contacted Cuisinart and they are replacing my coffee maker for free. I just have to pay shipping - cool. But what do I do in the mean time.

I believe chewing fresh coffee grounds can delivery a substantial supply of caffene, or simply boil the grounds for a few minutes, and pour the mixture through a coffee filter, or strainer..........enjoy...........jj

You guys are the best! It is funny - I thought of putting coffee grounds in
my cereal, but my daughter said I was nuts.

Caffeine is definitely an addiction. No wonder Star Bucks is making a fortune.
It is one of the few things that is addictive that is legal.
How does this happen? When I was younger I didn't need something to get me going in the morning. I'm chomping at the bit. I may go to white hen and get some. No this
is silly. Now I'm talking to myself.

No starbucks here.
But, I still like timmy-ho's:)
Except, i get mine with sweetner. And, THEY use sugar twin, so, i bring my own splenda:) And, get a hazelnut shot in it. Hm. Jutsy took the car for the week, and there are NO stores nearby.... and, now I want a coffee from downtown. Thanks.

We have a vacuum siphon coffee brewer. No electric coffee makers allowed in our house, says the hubby:) Plus, they look wicked neat on the counter:) My husband uses THAT, and I use a one cup french coffee press, or my stovetop brewer (works really similar to the vacuum one, yet different, and more unbreakable for me. My husband doesn't trust me with his siphon one:) I am a clutz. I think they all make better tasting coffee, than your drip machines. I buy my coffee from a company called "Just Us Coffee"... REALLY good coffee.
This is what my coffee press is, incase you all have no idea what I am talking about, I JUST made a cup too, and am drinking it now, which is what made me think to post about this:)-

A coffee press is handy for camping too. We use a very big press when we go camping, it's easy to clean too.

I think the coffee tastes richer through it, than my mom's drip machine. But, then again, that is just MY opinion:) We are biiig coffee people. When we travel, we bring our OWN coffee:) The place was right down the road from where we used to live (i NEVER got tired of the smell of freshly roasting coffee in the air... ALL day;), but you can order online too. They roast it RIGHT when you order, and ship it that day. Nice and fresh:) Plus, it is just a darn good company, with a strong goal in mind:) Their chocolate is good too, but, i am not a chocolate person:)

Wow, what a cute baby. Reminds me of my goddaughter when she was that age. She was such a Gerber baby, with BIG blue eyes and such. She was so cute. She's a beautiful 16 year old now and over 5'10'' tall. With heals she's taller than me, I am about 5'11", and all legs too. She and I have a special bond. Other than her father, I was the first one where she fell a sleep on my tummy.

That's my girl as a baby:) And, a pretty darn cute one, at that, I think:)
DId i ever tell you charmin, about the series of pictures we have of sky, growing up, in a pot on the stove? , we have this HUGE stock pot, and we took pictures of her, every 6 months, sitting in it, on the stove:) Baby soup. Anyways, all of them together are a great way of showing HOW much she grew, because she eventually had problems getting IN the pot:)

I have sink pictures of when I used to give the kids a bath. I can remember how their tummys would be all beer belly looking. LMAO
Charmin that is the best picture I have seen on KS to date! Your breaking in the little darlin to KS at an early age. :hi5:

Sinful those drinks - I try to keep in under control with a
Venti Iced americano no sweet and room for cream. I use 2 equal and skim milk. :D Gosh I love star Bucks. We have a new one going in down the street.
Yeah!
I do own a coffee press, but seldom use it. Maybe it's time to dig it out. I still think the Cuisinart rocks though.

No, haha, but I'd love to see them. Send 'em with those, er, "other pics" ya promised me, okay?
(WHY can I NOT talk to you without getting trashy? haha)
Q: How did YOU measure your childs' growth?
Gilly: Oh, we stuck her in the same cookpot on the stove each month and took pics.
Muahaha, that's funny right there, don't care who ya are. LOL
