Hi,

I know I've posted here before about a possible damage in my vocal chord. At the time, I believe it healed. But now, I think I damaged my vocal chord again from singing all out... >_<

When I swallow my saliva or water, I can feel something inside my throat. Could this be a nodule or even a polyp?

I'm an amateur Gynecologist, not a throat specialist.      :O

I don't know but I can refer you to two very excellent doctors, Dr. Malvin Practiss and of course, Dr. Vinnie Boombotz--check your phone directory.

Likely as sign of acid reflux, though I suppose it could be related to the thyroid, or a few other things even an allergic reaction. Best bet is to see your doctor. Most likely no big deal, and you can have it alleviated easily.

I had a nodule on my vocal chord a few months back and I was getting a scratchy voice on certain notes. I went to a specialist and he put me on a steroid (thank god I am not a professional athelete) and it cleared it up. Other option was surgery. I would highly recommend going to a specialist and get it checked out.

Is there a way to cure a nodule without surgery or special medications like steroids?
Does it go away in time?

You don't know what your problem is.  Nobody here has seen you, knows you, has a history on you.  It might be nothing, it might be something very serious.  Nobody can make such a determination for you online.  You need to consult with a medical provider locally.  To tell you something is nothing, or vice-versa is wrong. If it's a potentially serious problem NOBODY here is qualified to diagnose you. See a doctor in real if you have a real medical concern.

I aggree with Kappy on this one.  We all can tell you stories that our loved ones had them and now they are ok...But there are others like my grandmother who wasn't, she ended up  with cancer and it was really bad for her.

You should seek professional help and get a real diagnosis...

We may joke a lot here but we all love people and don't want anything bad to happen to you...So please go get it checked out and keep us posted...We can be a pretty good support group here....

Oh okay.

Is it okay to go see a normal doctor or do I need to see certain type of doctor?

This reminds me of a scientific dissertation I once delivered to The Ladies Scientific Committee of Bakersfield, California entitled, "The Sex Life of a Polyp".  It had slides and everything!

Go see your GP,  for all you know,  you might have an inflamed Tonsil, or swollen lymph node,  You don't know, nobody knows.  If it's anything of concern he'll send you to an Otorhinolaryngologist.  (I hate saying that word without getting paid for it)  LOL

NOBODY can tell you it's nothing of concern here, and be honest with you. NOBODY knows !
