Anyone else here sing best with their eyes closed?? !

I do.. kind of sucks if you forget the words though. :p (which I tend to do) Heck, I even keep 'cheat sheets' with me when we perform.

I realize I must look pretty goofy singing with my eyes closed though, so I've been trying to teach myself not to do that. heheh

I sing with MINE close all the time!! ! and then I stumble all over my toungue cuz I don't know which verse I'm singin' and I kinda melt 'em together!!
yep I thought the same (about looking funny) so I'm tryin to keep 'em open too! !

I sing with my eyes closed sometimes when I record...just to kinda focus on the mood of the song i'm singing. If it's a kick a$$ country song..hell no...i'm dancing around. If it's a slow, sexy, sultry or sad song...I close my eyes to really pull the emotion in.

When I'm singing live...no need to do it because I feed off the crowd completely....who needs to focus on singing sad, sexy etc when there are people dancing right in front of ya Kinda sets the mood all by itself

Eyes open..... with a three year old... if you close your eyes for ONE second... the walls get painted in ketchup......

It's better for me if my eyes are closed, cause then I can 'tune' everyone else out easier. I can just picture you keeping an eye on those walls!! heheh

I used to close my eyes, but then people started saying I do the Stevie Wonder thing!

I think i go against all rules of singing.......

1. I sing sitting down on the computer.... Horrible posture.....

2. Dont warm up EVERRRr

3... And well i only close my eyes when im really tired and i end up passing out.....yúp yup

It's Just FUN!

I close 'em when I record, and I close 'em sometimes when I am on stage. I try to remind myself not to close my eyes in public, just because I don't want to look like I'm in church... but I can't always help it. It generally happens when I am really into the song or when I am getting ready to hit a certain note I'm not sure is going to come out right. So I just close my eyes and let'er rip!

No way girl! I gotta keep 'em open. I get a nice case of stage fright & have to have those words in front of me no matter how well I know the song.

The other night I finally sang karaoke stone cold sober the entire night (usually have to at least have a couple of liquid courages). You couldn't tell in my voice but I was shaking everytime I sat down from singing. The last 2 songs were lots easier for me to get up and do and I know them like the back of my hand but every once in awhile I was still lookin at the monitor just to make sure.
