just thought maybe we'd like to have a thread about what made you smile today.   maybe it will make someone else who's had a bad day smile, too!

today i smiled because there IS such a thing as friendly service left in the world!  I went to a walgreens to get a gatorade.  they had a sign that said $1.69 each or 2 for $3.00.  i opted for the 2/$3.00 route.  when i went to pay, the cashier "wait a sec.  we got a coupon for a dollar off."  the total for two gatorades was $2.17.  this person didn't have to tell me about the coupon, much less go to the trouble of finding one for me, but he did.  i guess the simple things in life really do count!

Well, gosh, if only somebody would DO something for me, I might be grateful & want to smile.  LOL

I'm off here for a while to try recording, so maybe....... JuSt maybe....... I'll get a 1/2 way decent recording, then I can be thankful to my CEP effects settings.  :dancin:

Just kidding, being a smart a$$, dunno what came over me, I'm usually not that way.  :D

But I know what ya mean, it's nice when someone goes out of their way for ya, I've had that happen before- stuff like that- makes ya feel good to know there ARE some decent people out there, who will be nice and/or helpful...... without any personal gain to themselves. It's rare enough these days.....  :wave:

I'm a fulltime fire chief.  I realized today that I didn't have all the other department heads email addresses.  SO,...I emailed the city managers secretary and told her that I realized I didn't have all the department heads email and would she email them to me.

She did,..AND she added, " I know you didn't ask for mine but I thought I would include it also.   I read it and then read it again.  I started laughing and called her and asked her how do you think you got my email in the first place?  Deafening silence on the phone followed by a click!

Yes, she is blonde  :D
