Drilling for oil in Alaska. The news last night said that there is 10 Billion barrels of oil under Alaska. Times $70 a barrel. What comes after a Trillion? The worlds biggest profit margin. Kiss the tree huggers goodbye on this one. That's what this $5 dollar a gallon gas is all about. They want that oil. After we get mad enough and cry to the elected officials long enough. It will happen. No doubt in my mind. Then the prices will come back down. I can't even count that high.

I have read somethings about drilling for oil in Alaska.
The tree huggers as you guys call them will lose because the evidence shows the
area that has been designated for oil drilling is a baron place where only a few people live. I think the tree huggers are more afraid if they drill here they will evential drill in other areas.

, Good one...
I to have a similar device, it is a bi-ped, that can go several miles at a time on a very minimal ammount of energy.
But seriously, I have started to walk a bit more. One Karoke gig that I do is about 10 blocks from my house. Started to walk there an back as long as the weather is good. Also walking up to the conveince store for a snack or whatever. I probably only save maybey 1-2 miles a week, but what the hell, every lil bit counts.
One thing that KILLS me is people BITCHING about the price of gas, while sucking on their bottle of water, that cost $3 to $7 a gallon. JEEZ....
And another factor in the gas prices is refining capacity. I can't remember exactly what the numbers were, but the refineries are rtunning at 95% capacity, and the oter 5% is mentaince. SO if one refiner was to "go-down" (ie: hurricane), that DRIVES up prices.
So the answers are not just only MORE OIL, but more refineries, more alternates, more nuclear, ect....

Twans your so right. We can drill for oil in Alaska, but we don't have enough the refineries. The oil would just sit there. This is the problem I have with the government right now. It doesn't appear they are doing anything to get things moving. We need more refineries.

OPEC recently stated they would invest $$ to increase production if we here would invest $$ to increase refining capacity.
Nope, the hugely profitable oil companies refused to do that.....They have not built additional refining capacity in 30 years......30 years!
The super rich oil companies are holding out waiting for the public outcry to become a riot...they know that then Congress will grant then huge tax breaks to build additional refineries when folks really start screaming.

Some of the hybrid bicycles are quite comfortable. Mountain bikes aren't bad either. Why don't more folks ride bikes. Not harmful, might even add a few years to your life...

21 sextillion 1000 trillion
24 septillion quadrillion
27 octillion 1000 quadrillion
30 nonillion quintillion
33 decillion 1000 quintillion
36 undecillion sextillion
39 duodecillion 1000 sextillion
42 tredecillion septillion
45 quattuordecillion 1000 septillion
48 quindecillion octillion
51 sexdecillion 1000 octillion
54 septendecillion nonillion
57 octodecillion 1000 nonillion
60 novemdecillion decillion
63 vigintillion 1000 decillion

I didn't see the one I'm familiar with on the list. You know, when the 1 is followed by 2 zero's. As in 100 Pennies.
