I agree with assessments of Simon.   He can really be an a$$ for no apparent reason but we agree with many of his thumbs up or down on performances.

Paula is definitely the cheer leader.  Some of her compliments are such a stretch that she must stay awake nights thinking up new ones...

Randy - Dog pound!?! Come on! Ugh!

Susie :)

Johnny Cash would be the first one to congratulate Chris on his version of Walk The Line. Cash had a reputation of doing things his way too. Mandisa argueably is the best female singer in the competition. However, im going for Chris (hometown guy) and Taylor to win this year. I really enjoy the soulful singing of Taylor. Barry Manilow was apparently impressed with him also. Chris's voice is similar to Ed K of Penn alt. band Live.

Last nights American idol was kind of boring. Simon was way off
on some of his comments. He said Mandisa was indulgent. What?I thought she did the best. I have no I idea what he meant by his comment.

I have not a clue who will get kicked off this week. Most of the performances were week.

I thought of the songs last night Mandisa probably was the best. They were all a little lame. Chris, ....well, I wasnt too impressed with that one. But then again it isn't my type of music.

I watched Both Idol, and Nashville star last night. I think John Cena on Nashville star was a better judge then Simon on Idol. All in all I think the singers are better on Nashville star than they are on Idol. I couldnt say that last year.

and in answer to the next question, No I don't have a life.

That's what I watched (Nashville Star) , I weaned myself off of Idol, I just can't hardly stomach that show. My favorites always get booted, then I'm ticked off.... and argue with the TV screen. And I'm really no fun at all when I get like that.  LOL I may tune back in when they're down to 3-4 people. I DID hear Bucky sing last night, my hubby called me in there cause he knew I'd like the song choice. But they're right..... he makes a hail of a cute cowboy, but it's hard to understand what he's singing. He needs to learn to enunciate better. I imagine he'll be gone soon.

I'm addicted to Idol and NS... probably because I wish I was on them, but anyhow...

On Idol, I think Elliot has a great voice, especially for having 90% hearing loss in one ear. That's gotta be an obstacle. And I think Ace's performance was actually one of his  better last night, though his voice doesn't do a whole lot for me. The judges are more into his "falsetto" singing I think... Idk.

Of the girls, I thought Kathryn was at her worst last night. I didn't feel like she hit the notes, actually it seemed like she had a cold. She wasn't as into her song as she usually is either. Chris' "Walk the Line" is, in my book, unbeatable still. He blew everyone away. But I agree, I would like to see him sing something a little different...

As for Nashville Star, I'm in love with Casey Rivers and Chris Young. Their voices are angelic! Casey Rivers has such smooth vocals. His performance last night was impeccable. I want his cd. And Chris Young... I've been a fan of his ever since I heard his name on the NS boards. He's a really nice guy, and his voice is also just amazing. But I think I would like both of them to move around more, and interact with the audience a bit more too. I have to say, I'm not really partial to any of the girls, and I really am not a fan of Jared Ashley...

Just my thoughts on my two favorite shows!
