Finally, America got it right. Chicken little is gone. How did he even make this far? How did he even make it to Holloywood? There were a lot of other singers better than him that did not make it, even make it to Holloywood.
I dunno, but the bottom 3 tonight was exactly what it should have been.
If ?Chris?(bald guy) dosen't win this year, I am never watching American Idol again!!!!

Thank you for the info about the show tonight! Accidently clipped tonights episode ,somehow, in favor of "Lost" on Tivo. Totally agree that he shouldn't have stayed on the show for this long. The "novelty" of him wore thin quickly, IMO. Were the girls in tears ...and pinching his cheeks again ?
Personally thought that Bucky might get the axe tonight, but he'll probably be next, I think.
Can anyone tell me who else was in the bottom 2 or 3 with votes? My girlfriend wants to know, not me...I SWEAR !

I read a news story the other day about a Web site that organizes people who keep voting for the WORST singer on American Idol to try to keep them in the competition. They had a membership of over 362,000 people if I remember right. Anyway, their project for this season was that Chicken Little guy. Too bad something like 20 million vote each week. But that is still a guaranteed 1.8% of the vote for the absolute WORST singer PLUS they always get a good chunk of the other backlash AND have people who actually like them. I'm sure they will now turn their attention to Bucky.

:oh yeah:
I am so glad - I tape the show because I work Wed. nights. I try not
to know what happens until I watch it on Thursday. I knew
this thread was what it was when I read the heading. I couldn't resist
reading it. I understand his sympathy vote, but come on I think it lasted way to long.
HE NEEDeD TO GO!!
Your so right about rocker Chris - I think he will win it unless Taylor Hicks and Kathern can bring it up a notch.
I'm not digging the guy with the big ears - I swear he sang out of tune almost the whole song Tuesday night. Ace doesn't have it, but he's pretty. He hopefully won't make it to the top 3. The over weight girl is good, but she doesn't have an original sound at all.

I can't argue with Kevin Covais (Chicken Little) getting the boot this week, but this week's performance was the only one of his that I actually liked. Still, I can't say it was better than anyone else's except maybe Bucky, who will probably be next on the block unless he does really well next week or someone else is really awful.
And I also think Chris Daughtry will win. I don't think he's the most talented vocally, but he's a good performer and he's got charisma. Ironically at his initial audition Simon voted "no" because he didn't think Chris had any star quality. Nice call, Mr. Nasty. Having said that, everybody who remains is good too, and I wouldn't be shocked to see anybody except Bucky or Kellie win the whole darn thing.

Let's not forget folks that this IS reality TV. Even tho its billed as singing competition, that's only part of the story. There are plenty of good singers that audition that don't make it thru and you never see. They are not only looking for good singers, but the extra drama and "character" that goes with somebody who's a bit unusual. Look at what the focused on this season-- alot of the goofs that can't sing or are weird. The ONLY reason they make it thru to the judges is for the laugh factor. Before you even get to see the judges there are like 2 rounds in front of other folks (sometimes including the producer)
Think of the characters in prior seasons-- you have the rocker, you have the really good, you have the country person, you have folks that fall in the middle of the pack, you have the quirky person (chicken little, the lady with crazy hair in season 2 I think).
Chicken did need to go. Bucky's next

Now ya see, WHY am I the only one who likes Bucky?
I like his vocal style. But, then again, this IS American Idol, and I guess maybe he's better suited somewhere other than that show.
I too think Chris will win, though they sure are playing up Taylor. I don't really think any of the women stand a chance in this one.
And YAHOO to Chicken Little being gone. Finally!!
Actually, anyone else here feel sorry for the kid? They kinda falsely built him up. (Like sometimes.... this online place I go to where there's alot of fluff, don't wanna mention the name though)..... ..... I think he REALLY thought he was an awesome singer AND a sex symbol. I don't think he ever dreamed he'd get booted. (atleast this early) He thought he had a chance. Dang the stupid people who voted for him, he should never have been there at all.

Awww....poor kid.
I thoroughly enjoyed Chris Daughtry's rendition of Johnny Cash's "I Walk The Line" on tue. night. That dude is onto something there.
Yeah, I think the next idol should be a rocker dude, but opposite of the Bo Bice's and Constantine's. This Chris dude is the alternative.
And oh, that "Pickler girl" is a riot!! Good singer, but don't ask her any questions.....she doesn't know.

I'm still pulling for Taylor Hicks. I remember his first audition.
I don't think we have seen everything he's got yet!!
Yeah I know chris will probably win this, but Taylor has so much character.

Did you see her lean over and ask the person next to her what
that meant? She is like a 2 yr old kid. The industry is going to eat her up.
She does remind me of a young Dolly Parton without the boobs. It is cute to me she is so dumb because it is real, but I can only imagine how she must drive everyone on the show nuts!!

Kevin,Keith and Will Hung should form an American Idol super group...I disagree with Mandisa not being original. She's easily the best female singer in the competition this year. Even Simon Cowell himself knows it! Kellie is a combo of Dolly Parton and Ellie Mae Clampett. She's also from my hometown of NC which is a plus. She'd fit better on Nashville Star though IMO.

Don't get me wrong I think Mandesa is an excellent singer also and I agree she is by far the most talented girl singer. The fact that she is over weight isn't a factor either and I like her personality. But her voice doesn't have that special something different to me. I don't know exactly how to word it. If I heard her sing a song on the radio I don't think I could pick her out as being the singer because her voice sounds like so many others to me.
