As for commercials - I could do without the penile disfunction ads.
If you have this problem I think you would go to the doctor - geez
As for Health insurance - Big problem - will it ever get fixed?
I think it is aweful that an insurance carrier can deny you because you have a preexisting problem. Isn't that what health insurance is for? My daughter
Has health issues and I worry when she can't be on my policy anymore.
What is the poor kid going to do when she is out of school? The only options she
has is to try to get a job at 22 that has good benefits or depend on the goverment
to flip the bill. Her meds alone are $1000 a month! 2nd problem - drug companies
are legally gouging us.

I have a friend at work which is an RN. She is from England and says she is tired of hearing people bad mouth their health care system. She says that with their health care system the biggest difference is that the doctors live on the same street as their patients and live in the same kind of house. They go into the medical field not to get wealthy, but because they have an honest desire to be a doctor. The other thing she pointed out was that a person can't sue a doctor or hospital for every little mistake. After all doctors are just human and hospitals are run by human's too. Humans are prone to mistakes. If your auto mechanic screws up you can't sue him for millions. In a very real sense doctors are only glorified mechanics.
As for the drug companies, well my mid seventies parents travel to Canada to get their prescriptions. But our government headed by the "Bush Man" wants to prevent them from doing this.

I propose a new (well not so new) product......."Used Teeth".....
Old dentures previously thrown away could be used again......they could be sterilized and tried on by the customer till there was found a close fit ....then they could be adjusted and relined........while the toothless customer receives a significant savings and a better life......
Dentures offend me...here, you can have mine.
Sharon, I hate those commercials too...........cha cha cha.
Dave, that is disgusting...somebody needs to slap some sense into those types...atleast keep it off the streets...geez. The 2 man-haircutted women thing is annoying too, but if 2 babes wanna play in public, hey, I'm down with that.
Keith02, all I can say is, I hope she didn't have corned beef and cabbage w/potatoes like I did last weekend....
Charmin..........
Strmbreez, that makes me VERY hungry....
Karaoker, politics and religion sucks all around, some will never buy into the concepts that our country was founded on. Sure, some things could be relaxed a bit, but the basic ideals shouldn't be messed with.
Shotgun Cindy, Health insurance is a joke! I can't afford it either! A family plan with my company's group plan is $500.00 per month! At this rate, I could afford to have a coronary and pay $6000.00 per year on the bill until it's paid in full!! It is offensive how this fine country of ours doesn't emphasize on affordable healthcare for all.
Babs, I could do without those commercials too...I mean if I had an erection that lasted for 4 hours, then I'd make a commercial.
Kappy, you do need a wife...it's no fun talking to yourself like that all the time...I should know, I'm a truck driver.

Either that or sell it on Ebay like I did. A guy has to come to grips with certain stuff..
There get's to be a point that it no longer serves a purpose. So do the American thing, get rid of it !! Now I have a clear view of my computer monitor. Before there was always competition.

Keith, I want to put up a couple 48 inch wall shelves today.. Two side good pine... I have the rails and arms.... Here's the question however. If I can only hit one wall stud, how much weight can 1/2 sheetrock support with about two inch toggle bolts ? I'm not sure about the physical properties of sheetrock in terms of how much weight it can support if a rail is anchored tight with a wing nut to 1/2 inch in 4 vertical locations over a 3 foot area....(one rail 4 holes with wingnuts in each).. Naturally the stud can support the most weight...I have a 100 lb TV on a swivel wall arm bracket about 6 feet up in the bedroom, that has 5 large screws I ran into a stud with a power driver...

Quote: As for Health insurance - Big problem - will it ever get fixed? The problem with the healthcare system in the US of A is two-fold: firstly, Americans are a sue-happy nation, and secondly, people cannot wait to run to a doctor without any real medical reason. Yes, Americans are pill-poppers. God, you have a pill for EVERYTHING, even if it does not exist. Have you spoken to a doctor recently? They pay a fortune to become a doctor and then they pay a fortune to pay for the insurance against medical claims. Someone has to pick up that tab, and it is you. Secondly, by running to the doctor for every cough you have, doesn’t help either. Change your lifestyle, eat healthy, live healthy and look after your weight, and then you won’t have all these (so-called bogus) medical problems. Stop putting the blame on someone else, and start looking at yourself first.

First determine "about" where you want the shelf...Then find all studs in 4' span starting with the stud closest to the center of the proposed shelf location.(they are spaced on 16" centers)...Then shift the shelf location to either side until the edges both fall on a stud and hang the metal bars there using 2.5 inch wood screws....Then hang the centers bars on 16" centers also into the studs.
But if that just won't fit your desired location-if you are going to be anal and female about it and NOT compromise a little to the left or right, then go with the anchor bolts....DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN the wing style bolts or they will pierce the back side of the drywall paper too deeply and weaken it.

Keith, I wish the 16" spacing existed in these crappy condo's. It doesn't.. They throw studs where they want to in these 1979 apartment to condo converstions. The studs are spaced irraticly on common walls.... Some aren't even found in spacings of 24 inches, others might exist depending on junction boxes every 12 inches....On this wall, theres nothing uniform or up to code.

Well then...If this is yer typical shelf system with pine boards, metal upright bars and snap-in shelf brackets, AND if you don't plan to store heavy stuff on it, then go with the wing anchors and try to hit a stud whenever you can...Steven, if this shelh is gonna be home for your stuffed animals, then stop fretting, it will work just fine.

Yeah, but the bottom shelf is going to have my Barbie collection. A few models with accessories are a bit heavier than the stuffed animals that will be on the top shelf. Yet I suppose I'll be able to tell if the Nancy Drew books on the end of the shelf are too heavy if the shelf starts to sag around them, UNLESS of course I put those, and the Raggedy Ann collection on the side that's anchored into the jack stud. Which of course leaves the delemma, Where will my Bratz girls night out Jade doll go :( I have the cutest layout that I want to display. I was SO SO psyched about this project prior to all these complications. Now my weekend is ruined
